You Know, I Liked Mike Huckabee a Whole Lot More When He Ate His Feelings Instead of Saying Them
Oh Sweet Jesus, Mike Huckabee, shut the hell up.
Fox News Host and former Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR) doubled down on his claim that the murder spree in Connecticut was caused by removing God from schools, linking the shootings to “tax-funded abortion pills” and society calling “sinful” acts “normal.”
Okay, here’s the deal. From now on, any proclamations from Mike Huckabee must be followed by the political disclaimer of, “My name is Jesus and I did not approve this message.”
By the way, there is no such thing a “government funded abortion pills,” unless, of course, you count Mike Huckabee as a pill.
Thanks to Brian C for the heads up.
Sigh… And to think – that man wanted to be our president. There are a lot of nuts out there.
1He seems to be veering into Pat Robertson territory…Jesus didn’t know where ol’ Pat’s messages came from, either.
2The world seems overrun with nuts of one kind or another right now. I had hoped, in vain as it turns out, that some semblance of sanity might be restored after the elections were over. Not to be. But surely everyone can put aside their crazies up on Capitol Hill long enough to restore the expired bans on assault weapons . No one should have access to an AK47 in any of its configurations except certain members of the police and military. Assault weapons are designed to kill lots of people very quickly. That is the only function.
3So, Huck-fead, are people in church also taking God out of church? Ohterwise, explain THIS:
Larry Gene Ashbrook was an American mass murderer. On September 15, 1999, he murdered seven people and injured a further seven at a post See You at the Pole Rally featuring a concert by Christian rock group Forty Days at Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Ashbrook then committed suicide.
On July 27, 2008, a politically motivated fatal shooting took place at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Motivated by a desire to kill liberals and Democrats, gunman Jim David Adkisson fired a shotgun at members of the congregation during a youth performance of a musical, killing two people and wounding seven others.
Terry Michael Ratzmann was an American mass murderer who killed seven members of the Living Church of God (LCG) before committing suicide at a Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield, Wisconsin in 2005.
On August 5, 2012, a mass shooting took place at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, with a single gunman killing six people and wounding four others. The gunman, Wade Michael Page, a white supremacist, shot several people of the Sikh faith at the temple, and also a responding police officer. After being shot in the stomach by another officer, Page fatally shot himself in the head.
4Hey daChip, how bout those Amish kids in Lancaster, Ohio? They still have religion in schools in that faith! Of course, like the Sikh’s, it’s the wrong brand with the wrong god (I thought there was only one God with 9 billion names, myself) so I guess their kids are fair game for murder!
5No surprises from S.C. today – Rep. Tim Scott, with TP bona fides, was appointed to replace Jim DeMint, which just means the Senate GOP can remain pure as the driven snow. Well, except Sen. Lindsey Graham will have a bachelor-buddy to hang with now. This from Wiki…
“[Rep. Tim] Scott said that President Barack Obama could be impeached over the debt crisis. Before voting “no” on the final compromise legislation, Scott and other first term conservatives prayed for guidance in a congressional chapel. Scott acknowledged HE HAD RECEIVED DIVINE INSPIRATION regarding his vote, and joined rest of the South Carolina congressional delegation in voting no on the measure.”
6@moms: like all that “divine inspiration” that had so many fine candidates running for POTUS?
7Why does God talk to these nuts and not to me?
8Criminy, that is all…..I really don’t think the lunch ladies getting paid minimum wage would want to have to carry assault weapons. Seriously, just what is wrong with this mentality? I listened to a bit of the Huckster last nite in re-rerun, his word of the day was SECULAR, over and over and over and over. Meanwhile, WretchinGretchin apparently spent her morning talking church and her love of clinging to guns while crying to the Huckster….criminy.
9I liked Huckabee more when he hid his feelings. He has really ugly feelings.
10Folksy, ole politician Huckabee showed his true character when he joined Fox news. He may pretend to be a holier-than thou, but odds are he won’t fit through the eye of that Needle.
11What a petty, weak, small-minded, vengeful God you have there “Rev.” Mike. I’ll pass.
12As my good friend Ellen pointed out, Europe is far more secular than the United States yet gun violence is virtually non-existent. Kind of blows a hole in his argument.
13I’ve been reading way too many ‘news’ articles about that slaughter in Connecticut. In the comments after the articles, there’s always at least one sanctimonious person who parrots Huckabee’s nasty idea. And none of the “christians” have anything negative to say about the Westboro weasels.
14Here’s another short list of people God was with, that Huckabee must have forgot about:

YOu know that commercial about how some people get when they are hungry? I think Old Huck just needs a damn good meal — lots of turkey and stuffing — and a 20 year nap afteward!
16As an AZ resident, my biggest fear at the moment is that our RWNJ legistlature will take all this talk about shootings & religion & morals & a lack of G-d in school, and do the next logical thing…. institute mandatory Bible classes (they’ve already passed a law this year establishing an elective Bible course in HS), prayer during homeroom and mandatory gun ownership for every citizen, regardless of age. Baby’s first gun & Bible will soon be issued with every birth certificate.
Don’t laugh… some of our Legislators are really that extreme.
17Anybody else notice that Huck seems to be widening, girth-wise? I wonder if he’s taken to drinking? That could explain a thing or three.
18Hey Mike! How’s your dog torturing/killing morbidly obese son doing these days?
19Looking at a picture of Huckabee will definitely get you out of the mood.
20I used to think Huckabee was probably a nice man, but the older he gets, the nuttier he is and it’s as plain as the ugly nose on his face that he ain’t nice. Now, I like nuts, like pecans, walnuts and almonds, but I hate rightwing nuts who hear voices in their head, think it is God and then think they are the supreme authority as to what people should do. Rightwing nuts like Huckabee are driving people away from God.
21Other people are chiming in on what their god thinks about the massacre. A pastor in Newtown CT said that one little girl survived by playing dead “by God’s grace” and she couldn’t have survived “outside of divine intervention.”
Apparently this fool’s god is only strong enough to save one child in a classroom of twenty under fire.
If I worshipped a god, I’d rather have one who made the gun jam.
22I’m just curious about how a school board kept an omnipotent, omnipresent entity out of the school. Do ya think ol’ Huck could explain that to me?
23The problems we are having are not exacerbated by God being removed from anywhere. The real root of a lot of evil is God being put in bank accounts.
