Mike Huckabee: Using the Bible as His Own Personal Weapon

While it is creepy that a so-called follower of Sweet Jesus would glorify meeting violence with violence, there is an even bigger worry. We are told that Jesus will return like a thief in the night (Thessalonians 5:2-4). I hope Mike Huckabee doesn’t shoot him.

I like Mike’s T shirt better although if I’d been alone in a store in the middle of the night waving guns at me I mighta just gone off my rocker there. I’m agin guns period. For one thing I never can remember where I put the gun and then I can’t remember where I put the bullets. I personally think homemade cookies are a better deterrent.

Not certain JJ, but I think the day comes like a theif in the night. Jesus comes in great power and glory with the clouds of heaven (while everybody pees in their pants, apparently- we are under strict instructions not to do so). It is in Luke, I think, we just had it last week. And we are supposed to be sober, which will undoubtedly assist w bladder control.

Huck’s nuts. If they were shooting at the ceiling to scare her, they obviously weren’t there to kill her. They just wanted money. Yet Huck thinks this is a great example of self defense? When did killing another human being just to protect someone else’s property become the norm? Google Joe Horn. This is obscene.
Only in America would a “religious” man think it’s ok to kill a human being over money or property. My only comfort is knowing Sweet Jesus is watching these Charlatans closely.
5Someone ought to tell them the key is to READ the Bible, then try to live accordingly. Thumping it doesn’t always work so well.

Using his double barreled Bible of Doom, and his Why Wait for Judgement Day Bass of Thunder, he deals death and destruction to all of God’s enemies, just as Jesus would have done if He’d been born a redneck instead, you know, some peaceful Semitic dude in Israel. Were it thee or me, committing the same act would probably have cost us a great deal more than the good ex-Governor’s son. God alone knows what it would have cost a black man or a person of Arabic lineage. Does the word Guantanamo ring a bell? Maybe God spoke through Huckabee [senior] to explain just what great things his son was destined for and how anything more would just ruin his future.
On the blurb about the Scout Camp at the end of the article, I met young Huckabee there a few years before the incident in question. He seemed like a fine young man and then I heard the story mentioned in the article. If he was fired from that Scout Camp, it was not political as Daddy Huckabee says. Scouting leans strongly conservative as I know from experience.
8Facts show that for every one of these confrontations the NRA and people like Huckabee glorify, at least ten don’t work out so well. People panic and shoot themselves or innocent bystanders or have the gun taken away by the bad guys. Many times pulling a gun escalates a robbery into a shoot out. Even trained law enforcement officers miss most of the time. It’s another Southern Baptist gun nut at work.
9We just had a four year old shoot his two year old brother to death with the loaded handgun dad kept in the bedroom here in Minneapolis. Yes Huck that’s the part you wouldn’t want mentioned. If the sign says clerk armed, I turn around and leave.
