A cease-fire between Israel and Hamas will take effect at 9 p.m. (2 p.m. ET) today, Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr announced at a joint news conference with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The Israeli-Hamas cease-fire should “improve conditions for the people of Gaza and provide security for the people of Israel,” Clinton said.

3I hope that now she will get to spend Thanksgiving with her family. It’s the least she deserves. Anybody still wondering why she is so tired?
4What this country needs is a majority in both Houses, of women. Endlessly patient, (ask my wife) supremely intelligent about what matters because they have no insane beliefs in their superiority. They do not need to flaunt it because it is innate.
5@gabberflasted — add supremely well-organized to that list. I know I shouldn’t make generalizations but since I moved to an office environment in 1989 I have noticed that the women — especially those with children — are much more organized than us guys; they have to be in order to keep so many parts of their lives in order. And I’m really sorry for people like Mittens who think that employers have to make accommodations for times when there is a sick child that requires parental attention because even when the child’s other parent is present, he seems to think that caring for the children and the house are the woman’s job and all he has to do is bring home some money and drink beer, watch sports on TV, and occasionally cut the grass or paint something.

Amen to all of the above! This is Hillary’s last final fling as Secretary of State and it is a gangbuster!! I’m hoping she can be home with Bill, Chelsea and her hubby, and have a nice family Thanksgiving and away from all the hubbub of the rest of the world for a change! I believe she has proven herself time and again as a diplomat that people sat up and took notice of! She definitely needs some “Hillary time” …
8I am excited that she is leaving. Secretary of State is one office in which you are not allowed to campaign, so you know what her departure means? Hillary 2016!
9I have to admit that I was never a Hillary fan, but I didn’t really dislike her either. When she became a senator, I was impressed by her keeping her head down and working very hard. As Secretary of State she has been exceptional, and I would yell it from the rooftop that I shall vote for her if she decides to run. I can’t think of any other who would do a better job.
10Amen to all of JJ’s clients. Off topic here, but to all of you who make my life more interesting, who tell me things i was unaware of, who make me laugh when I really need to do that — thank you so much, and have a truly wonderful Thanksgiving. I have so very much to be thankful for, and I’m sure you do, too. You all delight me!
11Angela, excuse me but, I do not consider persons such as those to be women in the literal sense. In my opinion, they are male wannbe’s. And, are not very successful at that.
