Eric the Cantor

November 14, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

You know how all the Republicans over on Fox News are whacking squalling that we need a damn investigation of everything that has happened in the past 4 years?

Well, how about a little Eric Cantor investigation?

I do not want to speculate what Cantor was doing playing footsie with an FBI agent who likes to send shirtless pictures of himself around, but whatever Cantor was doing, it wasn’t pretty.

Cantor’s inappropriate meddling into an FBI investigation for opportunistic political purposes — likely aimed at influencing an election — simply failed.  Cantor took the risk of assisting a rogue FBI agent to make an end run around his superiors, without even informing his fellow Republicans on the Hill.  He thought he would end up a GOP hero, but he really just looks as seedy as the whole lamentable saga.

If this mess gets any more tawdry and goofy, Disney is going to have to team with Larry Flint to make the movie.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

I loved Maureen Dowd’s comment that the whole thing has gone from Sophoclean to sophomoric.

Tawdry is an equal opportunity state.

  3. Tawdry, dumb, stupid, idiotic, Anybody have any more adjectives to describe Eric Cantor) and his behavior??

The man was not worried about anything, except how he might harm the re-election chances of Barack Obama.

I don’t know, and don’t care….. who screwed who. Physically, or metaphorically.

What I care about is that this (scandal) does no harm to my country.

  4. BTW – I have no desire to “SEC – EED” or whatever.

I love The United States of America.

    Warts and all.

  5. I am wonder if that hunk of burning love of a shirtless FBI guy was the same one who helped Ann Coulter out of her little problem of voter fraud.

    I really wonder.

  6. I am wondering, not wonder.
Sorry. Lack of sleep last night due to husbands snoring.
I am going to go take a nap.

  7. Eric the Can-tor-tancurus was the one who lied to Boehner about the lack of votes for a Farm Bill passage before the election. The Farm Bill aint much on farms lately but it sure is big on food programs for needy folks such as schoolkids. But, hellspitanddam, its been so long since the GOPers have had any interest in kids on the ground that who can blame them for this tiddly bit of an oversight?

  8. While they’re investigating maybe they should try to discover if Cantor has even one ethic.

  9. I’m tired of ‘who’s doin’ who’, already! I don’t believe how many people in the US- including all those nauseatingly familiar names in DC-have so damn little going on in their lives they need a playbook of Everyone else’s play-by-play.

I’m with you aj–that’s why I got rid of my TV–nothing on worth watching…
I do get Colbert and Stewart on Hulu, that’s enough…reading takes time, but let’s me filter the info..worth it- minds not cluttered with nastiness…

  11. The news plays up the sex angle, but leaves out the part of the story that should be heavly reported on, the loss or misuse of highly sensitive documents. Remember it’s a crime to have some of the CIA non-public documents. Both a lapse of security by the “general” and the mistress are punishable.
But then so were his dailances while he was military, but worst was his disrespect to the president, that man was a pampered pooch, and he got away with murder because of his “R” connections.

  12. You’re right, aj. Recent reporting is much more like Entertainment Tonight and Insider — not really much resemblance to actual news, is there?
