The Tennessee Court of Appeals has upheld the state’s new law requiring voters to show photo identification at polling places and ruled that election officials must accept an ID issued by the Memphis library.
A three-judge panel of the court ruled unanimously Thursday in a case brought by the city of Memphis and two voters who lacked photo ID and cast provisional ballots during the August primary.
Okay, so if we required (instead of just allowed) a library card for voter identification, there would be no Republican voters. Why, you ask?
First, no self respecting Republican would enter the confines of a PUBLIC library. I mean, ruffians who cause tumult can go there. Anyone can go there. Yuck.
Second, if they read a book or two, they would not be Republicans.
I say, make a library card be required to vote. Nice start, Tennessee!

Along these same lines, Maricopa Co is STILL issuing bat polling data in Spanish language bookmarks they are handing you. Spanish language and books, more indicators that the people they are trying to suppress aren’t GOTPers.

3You forgot the most important reason: There are NO books to color.
4The real sad part of the Tennessee law is that college students can’t use their student ID for voting. Not too far in the future people will look on these efforts as we now look on poll taxes and literacy tests. It’s all about exclusion, not inclusion.
5Repug don’t would have no use for a library unless it had only picture books with no text.
6It is so bizarre that folks can use gun licenses to vote but military and students can’t use their IDs.

12There are plenty of Republicans who come to my public library in Texas. Where do you think they get their Glenn Beck/Bill O’Reilly/Ayn Rand books? They come borrow the books then complain about government. I always remind them that it’s their tax dollars at work!

14This is a good sign EXCEPT Tre Hargett who runs the elections here in Tennessee is appealing this today. Claims the library card issue is moot because the TN Supreme Court will not rule until after the election. Seriously. I have more than one email and phone call with Tre’s office since this law was passed. Demented.
15Anyone else notice how much money is being pushed into pro-Rmoney ads everywhere possible to attract the “sure thing bandwagon” types at the last minute? I see very few for the POTUS. You can bet the admen types researched this well.
