Todd Akin: Keep Talking

October 02, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Talk dirty to me, Todd.

Come on, Baby, tell me that I have the freedom to work like a dog for a dog’s pay.

Oh, Baby, Baby.

“I believe in free enterprise. I don’t think the government should be telling people what you pay and what you don’t pay,” Akin said at a town hall meeting on Thursday. The comment came in response to a question about Akin’s decision to vote against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, which has made it it easier for women to challenge unequal pay.

Yeah, I like freedom, Todd, and there’s nothing quite like your  freedom to squash me.  It keep me in line, right?

Keep talking dirty, Todd.   We ladies like that.

Yeah, give Plutocracy a chance.

Thanks to PolishSpring for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Uncle Dave says:

There was a time when the employment of children in mines and slave shops was defended as freedom, the freedom of parents to contract their children to exposure to injury and disease rather than be compelled to attend school and be outside in fresh air. And still sanctimonious hypocrites wrap themselves tightly in their ermine robes of righteousness and yearn for the good olds days when working familys enjoyed the freedom to starve, the freedom to be sold unhealty foods, and of course the freedom to be treated as second class or worse because of one’s nationality, race, gender, age.

  2. Whenever someone tells me big government should not tell private businesses what to do, I just send them these two links, Pittsburgh before government smoke control, and after:

  3. The right to pay differently based on gender (or skin color or religion) is the right to discriminate. So of course Todd is for it.

Heads up, Texans. Texas Senate debate tonight, Tues. at 7pm. Our Sadler vs. TeaParty Cruz. Get out the popcorn and a little wine.

  5. The one part of Romney’s 47% fiasco that I rarely heard any comment on was the vehemence in the way he said (paraphrased) and they think they are *entitled* to health care, shelter, and food! If we as humans are not entitled to those things, what use is civilization: a society in an advanced state of social development with a system of reciprocity. It’s the reciprocity business – each person benefiting from the strengths of others – that the Rs don’t seem to understand. It made me extremely angry. Babies don’t deserve to be fed? It makes me want to spit!

Jan, that is also known as the Good Samaritan’s checklist.

  7. The other part of his statement paraphrased–government keeps getting intothings they shouldn’t and it causes trouble. Yeah, getting into our ladyparts is one big problem!!

  8. What channel, TexasEllen? I can program the DVR from here (thank you, TimeWarner), but I don’t know who’s showing it.

  9. Found it on ABC and got it programmed via the internet so I can watch when I get home from work.

  10. I am heading out to a fundraiser for my “unladylike” Senator, Claire McCaskill next week. I will suggest your links to her Rick.

I am so bummed by this miscreant. I can not believe my state is so out of touch with reality that Akin is AHEAD in the damn polls.

  11. Elise Von Holden says:

I remember when I got my first job and as a teenager, I was paid 1.00$ an hour and the boys were paid 1.15$ ( in a Taco Bell where our tips were to make up the difference to the 1.65$-never once got a tip)
Our work was exactly the same 100 lbs. of pinto beans lifted and sorted, heavy racks of tortillas lifted and fried…
    SIGH
Women are seriously abused in this world–we as Americans are some of the better off, but still…

  12. @Jan … I bristled immediately at that emphasis on “ENTITLED” …. I hear that and I think, what … we work, we pay taxes, we do everything by the book and yet, according to Mitt the Twit, we are NOT entitled to have a home, to have food in the fridge, to have healthcare … his emphasis on that particular word … ENTITLED … it’s a slap across the face of every 47%er out there … how dare you even consider thinking you can have any of that!

What a total ASS [emphasis added] Mitt the Twit is and I hope, I pray, that Barack makes mincemeat of that stupid ass tonight and in the ensuing debates!

  13. Here’s a new one on Todd Akin … Actually, it’s not new … he was spewing his stupidity in 2008:
