What did George W Bush know and when did he know it?
…. the administration’s reaction to what Mr. Bush was told in the weeks before that infamous briefing reflected significantly more negligence than has been disclosed. In other words, the Aug. 6 document, for all of the controversy it provoked, is not nearly as shocking as the briefs that came before it. The direct warnings to Mr. Bush about the possibility of a Qaeda attack began in the spring of 2001. By May 1, the Central Intelligence Agency told the White House of a report that “a group presently in the United States” was planning a terrorist operation. Weeks later, on June 22, the daily brief reported that Qaeda strikes could be “imminent,” although intelligence suggested the time frame was flexible.
You wanna know another reason not to vote for Mitt Romney? Condi Rice. He’s talking about bringing her back. That’s where all this Russia is our enemy talk is coming from. Left her to devices, the attack on our Embassy yesterday would mean we should nuke Moscow.
They say that Lyndon Johnson went crazy at the end of his life, having nightmares about VietNam. The problem is that I don’t think W has a conscious or enough verbal skills to actually dream.

Welcome back. I looked for you but there were so many beautiful women there I sort of lost track. I hasten to add “beautiful, Democratic, Texas women”.
1It seems almost certain that the new revelations are true.
About a month before 9/11, the mainstream news (ABC, IIRC) found out and reported that AG Ashcroft’s security detail would not allow him to fly on commercial airliners, and couldn’t find out why.

4Where has everybody been? Richard Clark’s book, “Against All Enemies”, (2004) outlines all the times he and the Counterterrorism Group tried to get appointments with Condi Rice and George Bush from shortly after W,s inauguration until the currently discussed August briefing. He was totally ignored although as he reported George Tenant was coming into his office “with his hair on fire” because of CIA’s intelligence about Al Qaida. Clark worked for 5 presidents in that position and was pushed out as Condi Rice and Rumsfield created their own “Intelligence Unit”. Bush and Two Department of Defense Rumsfield allies, Feith and Wolfowitz, were focused on making was with Iraq. There was a White House group called the “White House Iraq Group” which worked on finding reasons to go to war with Iraq. I also highly recommend “The Price of Loyalty” by Paul O’Neill who was Secretary of the Treasury under Bush.

8I did read Clark’s book and it mad me sick to my stomach…. and then there are the videos of Condi testifying before some committee which just made it worse. Criminal behavior by a lot of pepople.

I think you mean “conscience” at the end, but it never clear that W is fully conscious.

12You have to have a soul to have a conscience. That explains Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld is the latter day incarnation of Robert McNamara, another Sec of Def who was directly responsible for needless deaths.
13I have never understood why/how Rice got the academic appointment she had/has. Based on her publication record she could not get a senior lecturer at any major university in Texas yet she was Provost at Standford. Could there by some politics involved?
