  1. From my German friend, regarding Romney: “extreme in a dangarous way”, and “but the fanatism in the US makes scary…..” Her English language and spelling skills aren’t perfect, but her understanding is clear.

    1
  2. And more from Germany, specific to this billboard: “Wacko!!! Dont have words for this. Its as if the time stood still. Dont they ever learn anything????” I think she’s feeling better about Angela Merkel, right now.

  3. Some folks may be amazed to find that God loves Barack Obama and Barack Obama loves God. I believe God is a whole lot more creative than anyone in Satsuma, Louisiana.

I am feeling like we have dropped over some edge, reality wise–so many pictures and a great sense of how wonderful our president and his family are and how I am proud to have them running again, and then the drop offs into deep la-la land where people are just crazy, like this guy and his cult leader Mittens.
How I long for days when I could respect the people across the aisle, not be terrified of them…

Exactly right. I’m so old I remember when there were actually some Republicans who were not completely insane. They even tried to make thoughtful policy points and enjoyed a decent level of respect and admiration, some going so far as to engage in (gasp!) bipartisan initiatives.

Personally, I blame Reagan for eliminating the Fairness Doctrine which opened the gates for the barbarians of Fox News and hate radio, which served to move the GOP base clean over the cliff of all reason. And, like Rmoney, I stand behind my statement, whatever it was. Heh!

  6. I was curious as to what Luke 10:18 actually said. FYI: “And He said unto them, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”

Yep, that’s conclusive. Obama’s the devil.

    6
  7. Luke 10:18 is
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

What that has to do with Obama is anyone’s guess. Maybe he wasn’t born in Kenya after all…?

    7
  8. I love stuff out of context. A few verses earlier, Luke 10 says this: “4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.”

I have a hard time imagining the party of no with no “purse or bag or sandals,” not “greet[ing] anyone on the road.”

But those are the ones Jesus was talking to when he said he saw Satan come down. Wonder which foot these folks thing the shoe is on?

  9. Tsk…Tsk…Tsk…that GOP is just not right… Makes you almost miss Nixon. I said almost.

    9
  10. Wingnuts read Luke?

But they ignore it all but one sentence (which they don’t understand), right?

    10
  11. The advertisers should add one more line as a disclaimer:
“If you can read this billboard, you’re driving too close to insanity.”

    11
  12. @Jose Orta: Besides being a bigger Psychopath than we ever imagined (as more and more stuff gets released to the public), Nixon was also a flaming Liberal, compared to anybody in the Republicant Party today.

    12
  13. Scariest of all: Someone actually believes that this billboard will defeat Obama.

    13
  14. Wait, Obama is Satan? Is that the same as the Anti-Christ?

See, I’m from way out West and I git confusededed on this so-fist-i-cated theology stuff. 🙁

Love and way too many rocks,

    LongRider

  15. What puzzles me most is the assumption that the target audience can read.

  16. John Peter Henson says:

Oh man they spelled Santa wrong again…

  17. Look up the book on Amazon. The guy ‘s trying to sell a book, calls himself a “consultant” with the Oil and Gas Industry. And says he’s a christian Apologist. Ok I went to vacation bible school at just about every church in N.C. cause momma wanted me and my bother out of the house and I have never heard of Apologist. And I bet he paid fot that billboard with the check he got from the BP settlement. Cause honey, EVERYBODY in LA. in the oil and gas bizness filed a claim for damages from BP.
