Thank You For Double Dipping in the Crazy, Texas Republicans

Y’all remember Judge Tom Head out in Lubbock who said that he would lead the Lubbock police department in head to head combat with the United Nations troops when Obama ordered them to overtake Lubbock?

Tom Head: Raising Taxes Because He Wants To

Ole Tom is a County Judge.  A county judge is not a real judge.  Our county judge here in Fort Bend is named Bob Hebert and he did in fact legitimately graduate high school.  He has an online college degree, a bought master’s degree, and a fake PhD so nutty that the Texas Attorney General ordered him to take it off his official letterhead. But, he wears judicial robes and calls himself judge.

However, county judges make the agenda for commissioners court.  In Texas, commissioners court is the single most corruptible form of government known to man.  They control every dollar spent by the county, and through a loophole in Texas law, they do not have to go out for lowest bidder on everything.

Which brings us back to County Judge Tom head and his hatred for all things federal government.  Well, except their money.

The county he wants to defend against the federal government spent at least $136,209 provided by the federal government for law enforcement in fiscal 2011, the county’s financial report shows. The programs include grants used for updating technology for law enforcement efforts. Lubbock County also received $66,778 from the federal government for the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, which reimburses states and localities for dealing with illegal immigrants, according to the program website.

Yo, Tom, go slap yourself.  You’re such a silly boy.

Be social and share!

  1. The UN said this week that there was no way they would ever waste their time and resources invading Lubbock, so Tom, go find another boogy man..I know, maybe Sharia lawyers will come after you.

  2. You know that line misrepresented from Obama’s speech..the ‘You didn’t build it alone?” Well guess where I heard that today? In church. Turns out that Joshua had a little report from God, who said (v. 12-14) And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out before you, even two kings of the Amorites, but not with THY sword, nor with thy bow. And I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and oliveyards that you did not plant.
Now I’m not a Biblical scholar, but I think God is saying that HE is responsible for building things here, and the people cannot take the credit. Has anyone in the GOP ever actually read the Bible?

  3. Sam in Kyle says:

Most of their financial problems in Lubbock stem from the fact that Head and his fellow miscreants built a large jail they can’t afford or fill. This whole exercise is an attempt to divert attention from his stupidity. This is the type of deal where indictments some time in the future are a possibility. Think of the possible headlines using his name, “Head”. Boggles the mind.

  4. Nobody would even take Lubbock with something to boot – much less fight for it. Tom’s been exposed to the west Texas sun too long – that boy better get himself a great big hat. Oh, wait…..Too late.

  5. June Bug, that was a knickname I’ve been called many times. I think Tom has breathed too much sand as well. It can cause some chronic problems, and he appears to have more than a few.

  6. JJ, this is totally off-topic…. maybe.

I watched the season finale of “Newsroom” last night….. not once, but twice.

If you missed this series…. you missed probably the best “docu-drama” on television. Last night was the best of the best.

I will henceforth refer to the former “Republican” Party…
as “The American Taliban”. In reality that ‘s what they are.

Real Republicans used to have some sense. Since the “Tea Party” with their uncompromising ways, and religious fundamentalism, and their hates on females, mistrust of government, have taken over what used to be a political party…..I don’t know of a better description… and I thank the guy who writes and produces “Newsroom” for coming up with it.

This guy in West Texas, is just one more example of “The American Taliban”.

  7. Miemaw,

Yes, Newsroom is a great show – I watch it twice as well. Next season will be AFTER the election, so it will be even more fun. A term I’ve used for the past 3 years is American Evangeliban – but of course, I am in Tennessee, the state which does not allow any unrented storefronts so they become churches – ISTG – there are more churches here than I’ve ever seen in my life – I think some have congregations of zero. they just put up signs on doors claiming they are churches.

  8. @Eykis….. If they keep on with the stuff they have been broadcasting…… before the election….. they might get in trouble.

Somebody once said……. about Lubbock.. They have more churches than trees.

What fun it must be to be “tax – free”.
