Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Today’s Friday “toons” are so wickedly delicious! Makes me wish that every day were Friday. Thanks for a super boost!
1It’s almost like a day off for the cartoonists as the toons almost draw themselves.
These are especially appreciated.
2Thank you JJ for allowing me to submit:
My Musical Homage to Todd Akin
Sung to the Tune of Paul Simon’s Cecilia:

Todd Akin, you’re breaking my heart
You’re shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Todd Akin, I’m down on my knees
I’m begging you please to go home
Todd Akin, you’re breaking my heart
You’re shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Todd Akin, I’m down on my knees
I’m begging you please to go home
Go on home,
I used to love bein’ a Republican until Akin wanted in the bedroom
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed
Akin’s there in my face
Todd Akin, you’re breaking my heart
You’re shaking my confidence daily
Todd Akin, I’m begging you please to Go on home
Jubilation, McCaskill’s still in, I’m hoping the voters will listen
Jubilation, McCaskill’s still in, I fall on the floor and I’m grateful
With deepest apologies to Paul Simon who undoubtedly deserves better even if Todd Akin does not.
3That last cartoon is the way FDR would hit Republicans on an issue like this. Keep it simple. Whom can you trust to defend Medicare? They can’t win that argument.
4I think it was Molly Ivins who said, “Some days it’s just rip and read,” meaning there’s nothing you can say about the news that’s more outrageous than the facts.
