Worth a Visit
I hadn’t heard about Upworthy until this morning. I’ve been piddling around on there instead of working this morning. It’s worth your time.
Do not miss the Soledad O’Brien and Johnass Sununu exchange. I love how she kept her cool and just let him talk his way into the pits of hell.
Thanks to Llana for the heads-up and my new time sponge.
Sununu reacted like a vampire who’d just been handed a holy water spritzer with a garlic twist. He may have unintentionally caused some bipartisanship, however: I think Democrats and Republicans alike agree that Sununu is desperately in need of a nap.
Soledad did much the same thing to Romney spox Barbara Constock earlier in the day, on much the same topic, with much the same results. Then she did much the same thing later, on much the same topic, with much the same results, to Tim Pawlenty, who was momentarily possessed by the evil spirit of John Sununu when he actually suggested that Soledad no speako the Eengleesh berry gude.
O’Brien: I’m saying the way the CBO puts it. … That is a savings.
TPawsessed: Do you know what that is in English?
O’Brien: I speak English incredibly well, sir, as you know. So, tell me what it is in English.
Get ‘im, girl!
It’s refreshing when a media person stops being a parrot or stenographer and starts being a journalist, again. But it’s also sad that it’s refreshing.
1DaChipster … very well said and, might I add, in perfect English!! LOL
Sununu … is that guy a piece of work or what?
2Soledad went back the next day and fact checked the Romney claims on Medicare http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/scarce/soledad-obrien-fact-checks-john-sununu
3Dear Soledad, May Molly Ivens smile on you! Keep it up!!
4Soledad was cool and confident, Sununu looked like he was about to have an apoplectic fit. If only! What a treat to watch.
