Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
20/20 hindsight in a politician is like, uh, useless. Did someone every tell the Repressives it’s foresight that the peoples pay the big money for?
1Reminds me of the Ronnie Earle comment. “Being called partisan and vindictive by Tom DeLay is like being called ugly by a frog,”
2McCain’s response to Cheney and then Liz Cheney’s two cents (worth less than that, of course).
“I’m proud of Sarah Palin,” McCain said. Liz Cheney also differed with her father’s assessment, tweeting, “Rarely do I disagree with best VP ever but @SarahPalinUSA more qualified than Obama and Biden combined. Huge respect 4 all she’s done 4 GOP.”
I’ve read articles that brain studies have indicated organic differences between the brains of conservatives and progressives, stating that conservatives tend to be more fear-based driven than progressives, but I think a study should be done to see if the far-right conservatives have some sort of virus that affects their ability to accept reality.
3…and in other news, grits is white, rain is wet, and the Astros won’t win the World Series this year.
On the other hand, I’m sure the Tin Woodsman thinks George W. Bush’s VP choice back in 2000 was “a brilliant decision”…
4Sigh. I must be old ’cause I remember when McCain wasn’t pathetic.
5BREAKING NEWS: Dick Cheney also announces other things he read in a newspaper from 2008.
6Every once in a while McCain steps up to the plate (like when he dressed down Bachmann over her latest stupidity). However, he will never overcome saddling the world with the Bumpkin Barbie.
7Personally, I think that Senator McCain’s choice of Sarah palin and short, is one of the best gift’s ever to the Democratic Party (Papa Bush picking Quayle was mighty nice, too)
8“Divk Cheney’s choice of” or “Dick Cheney’s choice as”? Works either way for me.
9And then there was Dan Quayle . . .
