It’s Hard Out There For A Republican
Meet the Orie Sisters, a Republican crime syndicate family.
Convicted Pennsylvania state Sen. Jane Orie stepped down from her seat Monday, a few days after her state Supreme Court justice sister was charged with similar allegations she used taxpayer-funded staff for campaigns.
The Allegheny County Republican submitted her resignation in a letter to Senate President Joe Scarnati dated Friday , the same day Justice Joan Orie Melvin was charged with using her Superior Court staff for campaign work during two bids for a seat on the high court.
These sisters put the organized in organized crime.
Together they have used staff for campaign purposes, falsified government documents during one of their trials that ended in a hung jury, cost the taxpayers over a million dollars in lawyers, and are guilty of felony highlighting and eyeliner.
The scary part is that one of them used to be a prosecutor and you just gotta wonder how many documents she falsified in that office to make her conviction record look good.
Republicans: Rules Don’t Apply To Us, Honey.
Thanks to Tom for the heads-up.
There is third sister, Janine, and all three could be facing time in stir. But that picture looks like something out of a Stephen King movie.
1Why is it that you can tell from a brief glance (as I did before I even read th headline here) that someone is a Republican? They even look mean.
2Gee, at first, I thought the photograph of computer-aged Olson twins – all that eye liner and those soulless eyes.
Ah, well, soulless eyes are standard issue for hard-core Republicans these days. So glad I left the party way back when the moderates were really progressives in disguise.
These ladies are just plain scary and very, very sad – but then, they are just following the examples of senior Republican leadership, aren’t they? We should compile a book of miscreants in the GOP – wait, no, it would be too big and heavy to haul around. Better to see them parade through Juanita Jean’s. At least we get to laugh which distracts us from the impulse to scream.
3When you say”Republican crime syndicate” you repeat yourself.
4Some folks think, because they know how the “system” works… they can “beat” the system.
Doesn’t work that way.
Exhibit “A”.
5The good news is that Republican woman breaking through the glass ceiling. The bad news is it’s in organized crime.
6Worse yet. They’re from Allegheny County which means they are probably Steeler, Pirate, and Penguin fans.
7Don A …. you so funny & i don’t know why. Aren’t penguins some kinda republican
8It is the eyes that makes me want to get as far away as I can. Bona Fided creeps.
9About as welcome as pond slime…
What I don’t get is how’d they get prosecuted in Pennsylvania but in Texas ain’t nobody wantin’ to prosecute nobuddy. Or somethin’. Ain’t they somebuddy we orta be fussin’ about in Texas?
10p.s. Speaking of rules not applying, y’all need to watch Rachel Maddow on the history of “the president doesn’t have to obey the law”.

And there’s always this interesting sideline going on in Wisconsin. The nerve of those teachers–complaining about funding cuts!

The one on the right looks like an even more deranged Vickie from Real Houseqives of Orange County. And while they may be from Allegheny County, it was the Alabama twixt Pittsburgh and Philadelphia that put her in office. I guess one of the reasons they’re being prosecuted is to distract from the prosecution of Jerry Sandusky.
13@ Marge: Yeah, remember Hot Tub Tommy Delay? I’m still complaining!
14Rather than doing something worthwhile I googled the Orie sisters, and the above picture is not even the most frightening. Wonder what they would charge to haunt a house? Guess that would depend on the number of rooms.
Oops, almost forgot the disclaimer: Well bless their hearts!
15Sadly enough, corruption is a time-honored, bipartisan tradition in Pennsylvania government.
16You’re very welcome, Miss Juanita!
17What is it with republican women and the”Michelle Bach man/crazy eyes” look??! Creepy.
