Arlington Republican Says She Can be Racist Because She’s Korean

April 05, 2021 By: Jet Harris Category: 2020 Election, Abbott, China, Power Crisis, Trumpists, Voter Suppression

Arlington must have Republicans taking care of the drinking water, y’all.

Lets go back in time, just a few months, to December of 2020. Representative Ron Wright (R), infamous for complaining that there is no federal protection for the ever-persecuted white American male, is the U.S. Representative for the 6th Congressional District of Texas. He believes that the 2020 election was fraudulent and votes against certifying the election results on the day of the Capitol riot, January 6.

Not long after Rep. Wright made it back to Arlington, he tested positive for COVID. And died. He had spent the entire last year battling lung cancer and tweeting that businesses and schools should re-open because COVID-19 isn’t all that dangerous.

Moving forward, 23 people have filed to run for his seat. Texans will be voting in a special election May 1. One of the candidates, former wrestler and current carpetbagger Dan Rodimer, has already had himself gossiped about at the beauty salon for being a fool. Not to be outdone, let me introduce y’all to one of the ladies running for Wright’s seat.

Sery Kim is Korean. Last week, there was a forum for the GOP candidates where they could out-stupid each other to try and win the Republican votes. Kim decided to play the race-card.

On the subject of Chinese immigrants, “I don’t want them here at all,” Sery Kim said. “They steal our intellectual property, they give us coronavirus, they don’t hold themselves accountable.” She said the racist part out-loud. Trump voters love that.

“And quite frankly, I can say that because I’m Korean,” she added.

She has refused to apologize, saying it’s the big bad liberal media’s fault and that she “will not back down from speaking the truth.” She lost the endorsements of the two Korean Republican Representatives in the House: Young Kim and Michelle Steel.

In a political climate where you’ve got to be a giant jack-ass to get on the ballot, she just might have a shot.

As I was writing this, I saw some more political news out of Arlington. Governor Abbott has turned down the offer to throw out the first pitch at the Ranger’s game this week, citing Major League Baseball’s opposition to Georgia’s restrictive Voter ID law. I’d wager three jars of El Jefe’s South Texas Pucker Up & Slap Yo’ Knee Bread n’ Butter pickles that Abbott expects to be boo’d out of the stadium by Texans still pissed off about last month’s power grid failure. Besides, no one watches the Rangers anyway. Go ‘Stros!

Hi Jet and welcome. Maybe Sery should see this video of a 65 year old Asian woman kicked to the ground while a bystander watches and does nothing at all. Not for the faint of heart.

  2. I would hazard a guess that those who are prejudiced against the Chinese are more then likely prejudiced against all Asians.
They are not the brightest bunch.

Not only did Abbott refuse to throw out the first pitch, but he also said that Texas doesn’t want an MLB All-Star Game in the future. The Rangers have a new stadium and will most certainly not get this $100,000,000 bonanza.

I knew that, traditionally, the Japanese weren’t fond of Koreans, and that Koreans returned the favor; but I didn’t realize that Koreans–or at least THAT Korean–extended dislike to the Chinese. I hope that prejudice comes to an end, at least in the United States, where the prejudices of some people extend to all Asians. Nobody needs that.

Greg abbott is pouting, and MLB should oblige him. Maybe he’ll want to ban delta and American Airlines as well.

At Easter dinner yesterday, one of my in-law’s family announced that as right-wing as he is, he is flat refusing to vote for Abbott, on account of the power grid clusterf—. Did my heart good to hear it; hope that sentiment is widespread.

When Sery said “I’m Korean”, did she really mean to say “I’m Karen”?

thatotherjean Koreans have no liking for Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Manchus or Mongolians. They are like Poles that way.

When I lived in Hawaii, Koreans considered that they were on the bottom of the East Asian pecking order, competing for that spot with Okinawans.

I live in hope that someday there will be enough Koreans in Texas to have a street fair of the kind my daughter walked through in Osan a few years back. She and her husband turned a corner and were confronted with a 50-gallon kettle of boiling oil and beetles.

    So she ate one.

But I get the giggles imagining how that would go over in Arlington.

  9. With hate crimes on the rise against Asian people, Sery Kim better figure out quick that people engaging in anti-Asian attacks couldn’t differentiate a Chinese person from a Korean, and likely don’t realize there’s a distinction.

Like after 9/11 when turban wearing men were targeted and killed because the murderers thought they were Iraqi, only to find out later, too late, that a Sikh is from India, mountain ranges and deserts thousands of miles from Baghdad.

An Asian candidate running on an anti-Asian platform might discover it’s not in her best long term self interest.

  10. I don’t get how Covid-19 can be a hoax AND be given to the U.S. by China??? Or be brought to Texas by immigrants from Honduras or Ecuador. Hmmm…

Thanks, Jet and words of support I will not add in respect to the Bankston family and especially Mama Bankston.

Having spent a divided amount of time between the sandbox and rice bowl, I “get” their prejudices. That they can fight out on their own. We have enough unabated racism without buying into their blatherscheissen.

Sery Kim can’t possibly be racist … her ad, as grabbed and then analyzed for Tweet Engagement Stats is at https://www.trendsmap.com/twitter/tweet/1378426434440491010

    DEAR LIBERAL COMMUNISTS
    HOW CAN I BE RACIST..
    IF I AM KOREAN?

    CHECKMATE. Sery Kim
    3.98 GPA

Hanging around with you folks in the WMDBS and with some other Democratic-leaning spots, I’m not too familiar with anyone I could clearly label a LIBERAL COMMUNIST … let alone multiple ones.

I’m not certain why there are two periods after RACIST

Perhaps others who know Korea better than I do (which is nearly ANYONE who has been there for more than one beer) can help answer her question.

Lots of people trying in the ratio’d responses.

Exactly. When Chinese immigration began to the Kingdom of Hawaii, mostly from Guangdong, the clans brought their homegrown feuds with them and for a time there was a lot of Chinese-on-Chinese violence and intimidation.

It was not long before they learned that to the planter class they were all undifferentiated coolies and adjusted their political alliances accordingly.
