Trump Ignored Pandemic Plan Prepared by Obama Administration

March 27, 2020 By: El Jefe Category: Coronavirus, Trump

Politico has put its hands on the pandemic response plan that had been developed by NSC staff during the Obama administration.  The plan got tossed onto a shelf and the pandemic response team was disbanded in 2018 despite warnings from experts.  This new reporting publishes the now ignored guide and you can read it here.  Trump’s talking heads responded to Politico that the plan was “dated” and superseded by newer plans at CDC.  The Obama plan was finished in 2016.

Trump has claimed that “Nobody ever expected a thing like this,” which, of course, is a lie.  Plenty of people foresaw the potential of a global pandemic, but the massive turnover in the Trump administration and his obsessive effort to erase the Obama administration’s accomplishments have literally risked all Americans’ very lives.  Trump must be held accountable for this massive failure.

I Have Never Wished A Man Dead, But …

You knew this was going to happen, right?

Yesterday, one of the first deaths of a Virginia resident from COVID-19 was a Christian musical evangelist who, believing the pandemic response to be anti-Trump “mass hysteria,” took his family to New Orleans to “wash it from its Sin and debauchery.”

Do not tempt Lady Karma. She’s a bitch.

Look For The Union Label!

The SEIU [Service Employees International Union] located 39 million N-95 masks and is immediately sending them out to hospitals.

The supplier has already sold some of the masks to the state of California, the Greater New York Hospital Association, Dignity Health, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford Health Care, Sutter Health and Los Angeles, Riverside and Santa Clara counties.

I need to scamper around and find my UNION YES! tee-shirt to wear when I sit on the front porch.

This right here is exactly why we need to national task force to run this stuff.  Maybe if they had higher IQ’s we could unionize the cabinet. But what ya gonna do? Hell, Ben Carson can’t find his shoes most mornings, much less 39 million much needed masks.

For Those of You Keeping Jones Score

March 26, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Alex Jones got another fine today for wasting Little Bubba’s time.  It just keeps stacking up.

Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist and repeated loser of court battles, was ordered Wednesday to pay more than $20,000 in attorney fees after losing another appeal in a defamation case …

Attorney Mark Bankston, who is representing Heslin and other families suing Jones, told HuffPost in a statement that the latest victory for his client spells the end for Jones.

“It is rare to see a legal defense so incompetent and disrespectful to the rule of law that it causes a defendant to rack up $150,000 in fines during preliminary motions before even reaching trial,” Bankston said. “These fines are only the beginning. A far greater reckoning awaits Mr. Jones.”

Mark is working from home and washing his hands often because he has a 6 year old who is never clean. He can get dirty walking from the sink to the refrigerator.

Pompeo Tries to Rename the Coronavirus at the G-7 Meeting. It Didn’t Go Well.

March 26, 2020 By: El Jefe Category: Coronavirus, Trump

Mike Pompeo pushed a new Trump talking point at the virtual G-7 meeting yesterday and today, wrecking the meeting that ended (again) without a joint statement at its conclusion.  The issue?  He insisted on renaming the Coronavirus “The Wuhan Virus”.  The other 6 countries were having none of it.  Yep, he really did that.

Y’all Ron Paul is Contagious In More Ways Than One

Y’all, apparently Ron Paul’s big Trump pumped ego is also contagious.

A Congressman from Kentucky plans to vote “no” on the $2 trillion coronavirus relief package, which the Senate passed 96-0 Wednesday evening.

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, a Republican who represents Kentucky’s 4th District, also hinted that he might object to a voice vote in the House of Representatives, which would force all members to return to Washington, D.C. and slowdown movement on the bill.

Massie told 55 KRC radio Thursday morning he plans to reject the measure — which includes one-time $1,200 checks to certain individuals and $367 billion in loans and grants to small businesses — due to concerns over spiking the national debt.

Oh yeah, all of a damn sudden.

All those tax cuts to big corporations and billionaires didn’t bother him one bit.  But, give a family money for food and he goes in all six directions and threatens to expose everybody to a virus.

I dunno.  Maybe it’s got something to do with both of them having curly hair – maybe they stuck their fingers in the plug and fried their brains.
