Phyllis Schlafly, who I have been fighting since 1962, brought her 91 year old self to the Republican National Convention with the Missouri delegation.

For you youngsters, Phyllis was the face of the anti-feminist movement.  She thought being pregnant and barefoot was an honor and we women who wanted a career were going to be the downfall of civilization.  Phyllis herself got  career as a highly paid “inspirational speaker.”

Phyllis hasn’t changed at all

Schlafly, who has participated in every convention since 1952, told ThinkProgress that Trump is the candidate to best represent the needs of women from the White House. In fact, she said, there’s no need for a woman in the Oval Office at all.

“Our greatest presidents have all been men,” she said, “and they’ve been very good for our country.”

That’s true, except for when it’s not.

Thanks to Sandy for the heads up.

Mixed Nuts = Mixed Reviews

The Texas delegation to the Republican National Convention had matching hats but not matching viewpoints.

Some of them walked out when Donald Trump entered the arena and rudely interrupted Ted Cruz’s speech.  However, it appears that most of them hate Ted now because he wouldn’t endorse Trump.

The pro-Ted forces were plenty pissed-off, though.

A handful of angry Texans left the convention floor Wednesday night after Donald Trump interrupted U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s speech — for the second time in one day — while many more Trump supporters booed Cruz for not endorsing Trump.

“I’m done! I’m done,” Longview delegate Jeremiah Hunter shouted as he stormed out of the arena. “My guy’s spoken.”

Hunter and several other Cruz allies were upset Trump entered the arena during the final minutes of Cruz’s speech, stealing much of the attention from the Texas senator in his final moments addressing the crowd.

Overall, it appears that Cruz angered more people than Trump did.  That’s going to make for a gleeful Republican Senate primary when Cruz runs for re-election in 2 years.

Question

July 21, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, here’s the deal.  Every damn time Donald Trump is asked how’s he’s going to make American great again, he answers that he’s going to hire real smart people because President Obama hired dumb people to solve our problems.

That seems to be his answer to every question asking for specifics about his economic and foreign policy plans: I will hire smart people.

So, my question is this.  Where the fool tarnation are all those smart people he hired to run his campaign and this convention?

Hell, the man can’t even run a four day convention without screwing up everything to South Siberia and back.

Verdelia has a theory that he’s screwing things up for a reason, and that reason is to keep people from noticing that he doesn’t have any plans.  Last night, the theme was “making American work.”  Obviously his jobs plan is the burgeoning of the locks industry to house Hillary Clinton.

His foreign policy program is to send Hillary to southeast Hell.

Do not be fooled.  Donald Trump does not know any smart people and he’s just proven it.

The end.

Hell Yeah

I could not go to bed tonight without tell you how cool it was to see Ted Cruz getting booed.

Ted signed a pledge that he would endorse Trump in exchange for a speaking spot.  Republicans have learned that Cruz cannot be trusted.  We knew that all along in Texas.

The 5th Circuit just struck down Texas’ highly restrictive voter ID law.  I am shocked.  Thrilled, but shocked!

More to come.

Important:  Texas has to fix it before the November election!

For those who didn’t know – the Fifth Circuit is the most conservative court in the nation.

Our friend Kyle says he’s betting on Abbott calling an immediate special session to remedy this by doubling down.  Texas has already spent over $3 million in legal fee alone fighting this losing battle.  Both Kyle and I imagine that Abbott will call the session during the Democratic convention.

Another alternative is secession.
