Priorities
The Iowa State Lege began a long debate over collective bargaining rights for teachers.
Republican State Representative Ross Paustian takes his job very seriously.
And his hoochy-koochy.
I am told that it’s a gag book being passed around the house floor and that the pages are empty. It sure is taking him a long time and a lot of reading to get the joke.
Thanks to Brian for the heads up.
You’re Not Gonna Believe This Stuff
Okay, remember Michael Brown? You know, “Heckuva job, Brownie” Michael Brown? The totally incompetent guy who fiddled while New Orleans drowned?
You vaguely remember him, right?
Well, like every other failed Republican hack, he has his own radio show, where he describes himself as a “conservative with a strong libertarian bent”. No shoot, Sherlock. He pretty well Ayn Randed New Orleans. It would have been nice if he had told us beforehand that he didn’t believe in government and/or helping people.
Well, anyway, the way I found out about Brown’s new found fame is that he is now publicly taunting President Barack Obama.
Brown took to Twitter and posted this crapola.
Okay, there’s a difference between guts and gall but that distinction is still a mystery to Michael Brown.
Here’s the actual tweet with actual replies. Brown paid cash American money to “promote” his tweet. One of my favorite replies? “The incompetent Michael Brown supports the incompetent Bibi? lol Bibi is Israel’s Hurricane Katrina. He’s devastating.”
The Republican Party: We know no shame.
Ridin’ In My Car. Listening To My Radio.
Okay, I have a question.
You know how Aaron Schock got into all manner of trouble for decorating his office and buying himself some fancy pants stuff and spending his campaign funds to benefit himself?
Well, then how the fool tarnation can Louie Gohmert buy a car with his campaign funds?
with satellite radio —
And he bought it from one of his contributors.
I’m just asking how Louie gets to do that stuff. He also got a car phone, OnStar and a tanker of gas.
Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.
Hide! Quick! Everybody Hide!
Y’all, Glenn Beck is outta the Republican Party.
Outspoken conservative radio and TV host Glenn Beck declared he was “out of the Republican Party” on Wednesday during his show “The Glenn Beck Program,” according to Politico.
“I’ve made my decision – I’m out. I’m out of the Republican Party,” Beck said. “I am not a Republican; I will not give a dime to the Republican Party. I’m out. I highly recommend – run from the Republican Party. They are not good.”
What if he starts looking for another party? We gotta hide, y’all.
Move along, move along, nothing to see here Glenn.
The Gays Made Me Smoke Marijuana
Aladamnbama Chief Justice Roy Moore is the homophobic judge who stopped same-sex marriage in Alabama even though the US Supreme Court ordered them to continue.
Roy Moore is a perfect 10 in cringe worthiness.
Well, his 24 year old son is quite the wild one. He proudly posted pictures of himself in college drinking and carrying on in a manner not fitting his moral upbringing.
“I must admit, the things people are saying about me on social media are for the most part true,” Caleb Moore wrote on Facebook. “I do have a past that I’m not proud of.. Thank God for salvation and changing my life.”
Mmmmmm … that must have been very recent. Like maybe yesterday.
According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Moore pleaded guilty on charges of possession of a controlled substance in 2013, and was charged with driving under the influence and drug possession in 2011. In March 2014, he was charged with use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Now, I have to tell you that the son’s behavior is not newsworthy to me until … he started blaming the police and the news media for his troubles. Last Sunday the police were called to the scene of a break-in.
When they searched the vehicle, they found a bag of marijuana, four Xanax pills and Caleb Moore’s passport, according to WFSA.
The arrest, Caleb Moore contended later, was just another scheme to frame him and smear his father.
“This is nothing more than a prime example of how media and crooked police officers and critics of my dad try to not only destroy his career for what he stands for but will go as far as trying to destroy his family,” Caleb Moore wrote on Facebook.
Caleb thinks the media and the cops are making him misbehave because, you know, gay people. Isn’t that cute?
Thanks to chloe bear for the heads up.
