Former Arizona state Senator Russell Pearce has himself some powerful strong feelings about Medicaid.

“You put me in charge of Medicaid,” Pearce told one caller, “the first thing I’d do is get [female recipients] Norplant, birth-control implants, or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs and alcohol, and if you want to [reproduce] or use drugs or alcohol, then get a job.”

Would somebody get up beside this old coot and tell him that most folks on Medicaid are the working poor.

And then to add a cherry on top, it comes to be that Russell Pearce has himself an $85,000 a year state job working with low income seniors.  I wonder if he’s going to sterilize them, too.

His statements were so incendiary that the Republican Party of Arizona asked him to resign as Vice Chair of the Arizona Republican Party.  By the way, being a total jerk is a prerequisite for that job so it’s hard to lose it.

The guy who killed the Pennsylvania State Trooper?

Eric Matthew Frein, 31, of Canadensis, Pennsylvania, is still armed with the .308-caliber rifle that he used to open fire on the barracks late Friday, State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan said at a news conference in which he revealed the suspect’s name.

“He has made statements about wanting to kill law enforcement officers and also to commit mass acts of murder,” Noonan said. “What his reasons are, we don’t know. But he has very strong feelings about law enforcement and seems to be very angry with a lot of things that go on in our society.”

Well see, here’s the deal.  We’re angry about all the damn guns on the loose out there but we don’t go kill people over it.

Tom Tancredo may not be in congress now, but he’s still taking an opportunity to be a fool.

Former Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo appeared on American Family Association’s ‘Today’s Issues’ with Tim Wildmon to warn that if we don’t impeach President Obama the right will start an “armed rebellion.”

And Tom has found a way around all those thoughts of racism being behind the Hate Obama Brigade.

“We are being asked to look away and pretend the Constitution is now being shredded… We must make the case for impeachment to demonstrate that no man is above the law, not even the first black president,” Tancredo wrote.

Yeah, because God forbid anyone would want to impeach the black man.  Nice cover, Tom.

A fifth-grade student at Kingsley Middle School, southeast of Interlochen, was found inside the building Monday with a loaded .25 caliber pistol secured around his waist, police say.

Authorities say the student told those questioning him that he took the gun from his grandfather’s house on Friday and then brought it to school. He offered “a couple” reasons for doing so and sheriff’s authorities say they are following up on those explanations.

I think the main reason he brought it to school is because Grandpa didn’t secure his firearms.
