Uh, Governor Perry, Can You Say Oops?

March 13, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I spent the afternoon over at the Dairy Queen with Alfredo.  When he’s not flippin’ burgers or making Blizzards, Alfredo likes to chat about Republicans.

You know how some men use the internet machine to look at the Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and some men use it to check the ball scores?  Well, Alfredo spend his time looking at campaign finance records, which are more fun than Disneyland for him.

Dear FEC, Oops! Love, Rick

Lookie what he found.  It seems that the Federal Elections Commission discovered that Rick Perry had some “uh … illegal” campaign contribution.   This sucker opens in a PDF but is worth your while to read.

The FEC says that Rick took over the legally allowed amount from some folks, didn’t tell where he spent money for food and stuff, and played loose and silly with “petty cash.”

It also says he took money from “an unregistered organization,” which is also a violation of ethics.  Skip on over to the last page and see that that unregistered organization is none other than Texans for Greg Abbott.  Well, ain’t that special?

Oops.

Thanks to Alfredo for the Snickers Blizzard.  It was dandy.

The Republicans Have Got To Be Sad Enough To Cry a Waterfall

So I was out shopping this morning and my iPhone hollered at me that there was breaking news.

Fed says job market has improved, consumer spending is up and inflation is under control, despite rise in oil prices.

You know, if ya got a job, you can pay higher prices for gas.  And, you can spend more at the grocery store and the shoe store.

And, damn, to make matters worse for Republicans, inflation is under control.

The bottom has done dropped out of their harmony. That makes me happy.  It does.

Dear New Hanover County Board of Commissioners, Stick It In Your Ear. Love, Juanita

The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners has decided that women do not need to be doing the wild thing.  Honestly.

They unanimously voted to turn down a state family planning grant that would cover contraceptive supplies along with other medical services related to family planning.  Why?

Well, let’s let them talk.

Chairman Ted Davis said he thought it was a sad day when “taxpayers are asked to pay money to buy for contraceptives” for women having sex without planning responsibly.

“If these young women were responsible people and didn’t have the sex to begin with, we wouldn’t be in this situation,” Davis said.

Commissioner Jonathan Barfield said he was “one of those abstinence guys” and agreed with Davis’ comment.

Bless  their hearts, they don’t know what contraceptives are.  Contraceptives are a device to allow you to have responsible hoochy.

Now, I want you to scamper on over and take a look at the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners.  They are all male and from the looks of them, none of them are capable of getting a nakkid woman within, oh dunno, a mile and half of them.

This is just my opinion, but I think they are just being mean to other men who are getting lucky.

Plus, what are married women supposed to say?  Not tonight dear, I have a responsible?

And, if they truly are “abstinence guys,” I most certainly expect them to be leaders in this particular area they have chosen for others.

I will pay $5 cash American money to the first person to goes to the next commissioner’s meeting and passes out condoms at the door.  Those commissioners have a social disease.

Thanks to Robert for the heads-up.

You have until 6:00 p.m. Texas time today to guess the winners and percentages in Mississippi and Aladamnbama.

The winner is the person who comes closest.  In case of a tie, a name will be picked out of a hat and that person wins this:

You know the drill.  Do the predictions.  That is not a water stain on the hat.  However, in any case, you will get a new hat.

Ready, set go!

I have no idea who wrote this.  It was sent to me by my friend John. I’ve tried to find the author and I can’t.  I’m sure it was some leftwing knee jerk sob sister liberal, though.  You know, my kind of people.

ALL THOSE WHO OPPOSE PRESIDENT OBAMA, want to take America Back…BACK TO WHAT/BACK TO WHERE is my question?

After The 8 Years Of The Bush/Cheney Disaster, Now You Get Mad?

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate Energy policy and push us to invade Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.

You didn’t get mad when they didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn’t get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the 1%, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

You didn’t get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades.

You didn’t get mad when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.

You didn’t get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values.

You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick… Yeah Right!
