It Appears to be Catching On

Many of you know about newly elected Texas Republican Congressman Blake Farenthal, who got elected despite posing in  ducky pajamas with an underage girl.

Or maybe because of it, it’s pretty much anybody’s guess at this point.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is betting on the second option.

Gov. Rick Perry held an impromptu press conference just off the Senate floor early Wednesday afternoon, after spending the better part of an hour in the chamber visiting Senators.

Whilst wearing black sneakers and what appeared to be pajama pants, accompanied by the Senate’s mandated coat and tie — Perry spoke about the Senate’s budget…

Okay, I’m just suspect this and I can’t prove it but I think the little boy who got stuck with Perry’s arm around him is saying, “Dude, don’t touch me.  You look like Charlie Sheen.”

What is this – Governor Ninja?  Seriously, Rick, pajama pants and tennis shoes?  What are you doing?  Taking out the garbage?

Damn, y’all, it is so embarrassing to have the town drunk for a Governor.

You Know How You Thought Bush Was A Simpering Little Egocentric Son of a Motherless Goat? Well, It’s Worse Than That.

Much worse.

Bush feels Obama ignoring ex-president’s role in Osama Bin Laden strike for ‘victory lap’: source

Personally, I think Bush wouldn’t accept President Obama’s invitation to go to ground zero because it didn’t involve an aircraft carrier, a cool ride in a jet, getting to play dress-up in a costume, or a damn big banner.

That, and the fact that Bush is just goofy.

And Here’s Why BiPartisanship is a Fool’s Errand

The Texas Lege passed a resolution today “commending President Barack Obama, intelligence personnel and members of the military for taking out Osama bin Laden.”

Ten House Republicans voted totally against it.  Fifty two of them just couldn’t resist the urge to blast President Obama.

But 10 of the 101 Republican members of the House are recorded in the House Journal as voting against the resolution. And 52 who supported the resolution entered a joint Journal statement saying they do not support Obama’s overall foreign policy.

Out of the entire and total Republican delegation of the Texas House, only one of them stood like an American today —

“George Bush was our Commander-in-Chief when the terrible 9/11 happened,” said Rep. Jim Keffer, R-Eastland. “And Democrats and Republicans stood shoulder to shoulder at that terrible day. And now that we have this victory, let’s say, that Osama bin Laden has been found and eliminated, that as Commander-in-Chief, Republican and Democrat should stand shoulder to shoulder in the celebration and the remembrance on today.”

Thank you, Jim Keffer for being the only damn Republican in the entire 101 supermajority of the Texas House who isn’t foaming at the mouth.

“So what this means,” Juanita commented, “is that one out of 100 Republicans is not whacked out.  At least that’s an improvement from last year.”

The ten who would rather disgrace the United States military than say anything positive about The Commander in Chief  is a familiar list.

The 10 members who voted against the resolution were Leo Berman of Tyler, Marva Beck of Centerville, Allen Fletcher of Tomball, Dan Flynn of Van, Will Hartnett of Dallas, Dan Huberty of Houston, George Lavender of Texarkana, Barbara Nash of Arlington, Debbie Riddle of Tomball and Randy Weber of Pearland.

“The upside is that we now have a neat little list of the insane people serving in the Texas House of Representatives,” Juanita looks on the bright side.

Thanks to about 10 people who sent me this.

Referee Soon To Call Piling-On Penalty on Democrats

Scott Walker, the quarterback of Wisconsin Republicans, was sacked in the end zone and the piling on has begun!

In a race that centered on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) attack on the rights of public employees to bargain for middle-class jobs, Democratic state Assembly candidate Steve Doyle easily won a seat that had been held by Republicans for 16 years.

In a special election to replace the previous assembly member whom Walker tapped for a top job in his administration, Doyle won 54 percent to 46 percent over Walker-backed candidate John Lautz.

“I’m gonna tell you something, Babydoll, Scott Walker has done more for Democrats than I ever could have done,” Juanita admits with gratitude.

“Except maybe for this dude:  if you’ve got nine minutes of your life that you don’t need, check this “Angry White Man” out.  There appears to be no limit to insanity,” she grins.  “He’s going to open mandatory re-education centers for African Americans, and toss out every Muslim.  I imagine his speech is even stronger in the original German.”

“I’m proud to say that Grady Warren hisveryownself sent me the link to his YouTube.”

We’re Eyeball High in Irony

Y’all can scamper over to the Texas Tribune and see Rick Perry whine that the federal government isn’t sending money to him over the Texas wildfires.

“There is no consistency with this administration,”  he says.

Ain’t that just priceless?

“Wash off your warpaint, Son, and holster your pistol. You’re running out of room on the dance floor to be talking consistency,” Juanita warns.
