Well, That’s Good to Know

September 09, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Donald Trump wants you to know that if elected, he will not kill journalists.  However, journalists are definitely on his hit list.

During a campaign rally in Walker, Michigan Monday, Donald Trump discussed his praise of Vladimir Putin, addressing critics who say the Russian president is responsible for the murder of journalists in his country.

“Then they said, ‘You know, he’s killed reporters,’” Trump said to a crowd of 7,500 people. “And I don’t like that. I’m totally against that.”

“But I do hate them,” Trump said. “I hate some of these people, but I’ll be honest, I would never kill them.”

“Some of them are such lying, disgusting people, it’s true,” Trump continued, repeating he “would never kill them.”

Reminder to journalist: he also said he would never lie.

So … make sure your passport is up to date just in case.

Right. And today he’s screeching about CNN. What is it going to take for people to wise up about this jerk? Wiping his butt with the U.S. flag? Being caught naked in a hot tub with a boy band? What?

    1
  2. JAKvirginia says:

“… such lying, disgusting people.” Said the man who hired the owner of Breibart. PUH-leeees!!

    2
  3. JAKVirginia, I don’t think it would make any difference to his slobberin’ supporters if he was caught naked in a hot tub with Putin, using the US flag for a towel.

  4. @Cheryl
Ya just got the final word on this!

Even a Drumpf-Putin bromance wouldn’t keep those slobberers in the Drumpf Party from votin’ for Drumpf. Drumpf leads a cult of personality, not unlike Jim Jones or David Koresh.

    4
  5. What Drumpf would do, is hire some one else to kill them. and then not pay them.

    5
  6. treehugger says:

The only things that would send his supporters running is if he starting making speeches advocating gun control and citizenship for all immigrants, regardless of origin, color, religion. Anything else, nah.

  7. TrulyTexan says:

    @Micr
Now if we could only get them to actually drink the Kool-Aid.

He won’t have them killed, but I can garundamntee he will shut down any source that bad mouths him.

    7
  8. I hate lying, disgusting people too. That’s why I can’t stand Trump.

“But I do hate them,” Trump said. “I hate some of these people, but I’ll be honest, I would never kill them.”

“Some of them are such lying, disgusting people, it’s true,” Trump continued, repeating he “would never kill them.”

Anybody else remember Henry II saying of Archbishop Thomas Becket, “Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?” and then four knights rode out and cut Becket down in the cathedral, and Henry said that sure wasn’t his intention?

    8
  9. I really enjoyed learning about how easily Trump pants like a puppy admiring Putin because he mis-interpreted what Putin said.

Rachel Maddow did a piece on this and it was not Trump is brilliant (like intelligent), but that Trump is flamboyant or colorful. And by golly, that clown is!

    9
  10. e platypus onion says:

Drumpf would just rent his name to the actual killers so he can’t be charged in their crimes. Outsourcing, plus he’d feel up Ivanka some more because he is a fecking perv.

    10
  11. Rehabilitation. That’s it … rehabilitation! Donald will do the kindest thing by rounding up the journalists he detests and sending them to special “reeducation” camps.

    11
  12. of course Trump won’t kill them, but he sure would arrange to have them all thrown in the clinker on some trumped up charge.

    12
  13. Sumpm just occurred to me. There was an op-ed in today’s Houston chronicle by Charles Krauthammer about China’s snub of Obama as proof of the world’s disdain for Obama and therefore AMERICA. I didn’t read much of it because I expected it. (Krauthammer’s crap anyway). But I don’t know how many trips to China our president has made but I’ve never heard anything like this before. He makes the point that the Chinese invented diplomacy As far as I know, this is unprecedented. So let’s see. Election year. Russia hacking. Donald effing Trump. Who has shown to the world that he’s the ultimate dog-whistle candidate. Oh, and most importantly, our own media linking Hillary to Obama. It’s obvious. Our election is open season for any world power to influence. Trump’s their boy. They all got dog whistles.

    13
  14. Pervaricating, fantasizing wad of DNA! Thats all he is and all he is good for! And that’s only his day job! President? No way! Make that NOT happen, for sure. Vote Hillary!

    14
  15. Elizabeth Moon says:

Rastybob: If he hired the right people, and didn’t pay them, then he would face Consequences. Certain very efficient hired killers don’t put up with not being paid. So I heard, back when I knew someone who knew someone who knew someone.

    15
  16. Elizabeth Moon says:

P.P. Good points: major powers see Trump as easy to manipulate, willing to collaborate, so of course they’re going to try to make hay while the sun shines.

    16
  17. Rastybob, I think that’s the best summation of the behavior of The Slime King, whom I call Scumpf.

    17
  18. So the Repub nominee feels that he has to go on the record as saying he would not kill journalists.

This is what the GOP has come to.

    18
  19. If he only wants to kill journalistsome, then Faux and CNN are safe

    19
  20. Trump likes to talk about killing – a lot.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

“One of the first things I’d do in terms of executive orders, if I win, will be to sign a strong, strong statement that will go out to the country, out to the world, that anybody killing a policeman, a policewoman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer: Death penalty is going to happen, okay?”

“I would knock the hell out of ISIS… [and] when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families.”

    20
  21. Let’s just say he certainly will not make a good POTUS but for sure a he’s up there as (a) POS (hopefully safe enough for Mama).

    21
  22. That Other Jean says:

“But I do hate them,” Trump said. “I hate some of these people, but I’ll be honest, I would never kill them.”

Well, then, that’s OK. I feel so much better now, don’t you?

    22
  23. Deadbeat didn’t deny Putin kills journalists. So he knows this but still likes the guy. Put another check mark in the sociopathic tendencies box.

    23
  24. By telling his nutjob supporters how much he hates journalists, he is in fact encouraging them to do what he will not. No money changes hands. He should be in jail for incitement NOW!

    24
  25. Maryelle: Shades of killing Hillary, no? The crap this guy pulls without getting called out for is way beyond unprecedented. I’m still waiting for legal action for his solicitations of foreign donations. Soledad O’Brien went all Aaron Sorkin on CNN for normalizing hate speech by contorting themselves to try to not show favoritism to Hillary. Everyone should check it out.

    25
  26. Sanborne Addison says:

    Pretty sure he’s planning it.

    26
  27. Walker, Michigan? Its in the western part of the lower peninsula near Grand Rapids. Have no idea what in the world would entice anyone for any reason to make a speech there. Yes, the country is very attractive, but wow! That far away from the major population centers of the state? I remember that area as being once big on old Dutch Calvinism but I doubt that would be the case in today’s technology with the rest of the world. Further west of Walker, over to the shoreline of Lake Michigan, and just a touch south are the cities of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor. I do remember some time ago a lot of racism etc. running loose in that area. The city of Kalamazoo is within throwing distance of Walker/Grand Rapids. It recently gained a lot of notoriety when an old spill polluted the river and I believe that situation has not yet been resolved to everyone’s satisfaction as it took too long for the pipeline people to even acknowledge there was a big problem. Note: as I recall that pipeline company is the same one that wanted to build the pipeline from Canada through this country.
