There are No US Attorneys

June 07, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Trump

Right after Cheeto Jesus’ inauguration, half of the country’s US attorneys resigned.  For a reason known only to him, Trump then fired all the others.  Monday, during his almost daily Twitter rage, he bitterly complained that Democrats were holding up his nominations.  The problem?  There aren’t any nominations for Dems to block.  That’s right, folks, Trump has not nominated ONE new US attorney, and there are no US attorneys on duty in any city of the United States.  The speculation is that no competent attorney is willing to subject him or herself to such a career-ending decision.

Mr. Law & Order is actually Mr. Head Up His Ass (sorry, Momma), but it didn’t take a Phd in politics to figure that one out.

Be social and share!

Can’t blame the attorneys for not wanting to walk the plank on board the “Caine” with Captain Donald J. Queeg at the helm. He’s so obsessed with who ate the strawberries, that nothing and nobody gets in his way. Keep an eye out for the ball bearings in his tiny hands. Time to relieve him of his duty.

Hey, what is more important, nominating some US attorneys so that the government can function, or playing a lot of golf?

Slip, gee that’s a tough one. Let’s see, golf or justice. Well if I was going to take a wild guess, I think I’d chose justice. But I’m just a little old lady, not a morbidly obese sociopath who cheated, lied, and conned his way into the White House.

Maybe he doesn’t realize he needs to nominate anybody. They appear out of thin air, with loyalty and justice for…

El Jefe, no writ twit with the time invested in college plus passing the bar exam(s) would want “US Attorney appointed by Dolt45” soiling their resume.

Though it’s odd in way that the Heritage Foundation hasn’t slipped a list of names to Donnie. Maybe Neil Gorsuch was too much for even them to stomach. Or, they too are sick of Donnie.

    For a Momma-safe version, try cranial-rectal inversion.

On a side note: one might suggest that he stick his primary organ cluster up his dorsal orifice … and jump.

  7. RepubAnon, the last 2 words of your comment made me snort. Ha!

Not one single atty nominee?! Not even one!?! I wasn’t aware that the total was zeeee-roe. He’s so pathetic. Sad.

  8. This might not be such a bad thing. The work is being done by career Asst. U.S. Attorneys. These people might not be as politically bent as a Trump appointment. They not be willing to go to court till they have viable case and a 95% + chance of getting a conviction and sustaining it thru appeals.
It might ease some back log in Fed. Courts.

  9. and, he’s only nominated 11 out of 172 ambassadors. What a ….sorry, I can’t think of anything that would express just what I feel and think about this …. person

  10. NoE: Especially when he’s berating the “Dems” for not approving his nominees. Apparently the Dems have more power than we all think they do.

  11. Cole, good point. But the big question still remains: he does not know how to be a President. He is a nine to fiver and anything beyond that the country is on its own. Anything past the five pm whistle is OK as long it is a social event or . . . um . . . golf. As a sociopath he will never acknowledge the damage he is doing.

    maggie,
“He is a nine to fiver”, beg to differ. 9-5 would be a terrible ‘work’ overload for the likes of Dear Leader.
He’s more of an ‘entitled’ 9-11, 1-3:30’er, with Wednesdays and long weekends off.
An unproductive asshole in other words. His kind are often found in ‘family’ businesses, such as his inherited one. Which has been running on pure bullshit for decades, only because there seems to be an inexhaustible pool of gullible fools and yesmen out there.

ISTR that back in the days when W. got in trouble for firing of the attorneys at the start of his second term, which just isn’t done. Worse, as I’m sure most of us remember, there was a strong whiff of ‘not enough voter fraud prosecutions’ about those fired.

But one of the things that came along with that was the idea that senators and state governors submit short lists of nominees to the administration for preferred U.S. attorneys, and the administration most often vets and nominates their picks from those lists.

This really is the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. Or is it a nest of vipers? A viper gang that can’t shoot straight. Still malevolence tempered only by incompetence.

  14. I think that this is a feature not a bug as those US Attys can institute some very inconvenient events/individuals

Former US Attorney Preet Bharara was sitting behind Comey today during testimony. We New Yorkers know he’s got the goods on the whole family.
