The Curtain Closes – Whitehouse Comment Line Shut Down

January 23, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Trump

Variety is reporting that the long used Whitehouse comment line has been shut down and an automated message tells callers to use a non-existent Facebook messenger account. ¬†That’s right, public comment can no longer reach into the Oval Office. ¬†Fascism comest to America.

People were using words with multiple syllables. That is not fair.

  2. He can stick his ugly head in the sand or his fingers in his ears. He still won’t be able to get away.

  3. I can only wonder how long those around Rump will put up with his reprehensible decisions, before they drag him off the stage with a large hook …or maybe a net? One can hope… soon.

  4. From the Atlantic to the Gulf to the Pacific, from the Mexican border to the Canadian, an iron curtain has descended across the United States of America. With apologies to Winston Churchill’s quote.

  5. I can attest. I used the number Michael Moore gave us in DC in his next 100 days plan.
First day it went through. Yesterday– just a click. Two other 202 area code WH numbers were also cut.

  6. Next thing you know, people will start demonstrating…

  7. “Don’t attribute to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity.” This might just be a screwup.

If it’s not, look for shutting down of websites, newspapers, and TV stations next, thanks to advice from good buddy Vlad.

I did not want to live through times this damn “interesting.”

  8. The petition site is still up on The petition re his taxes has over a quarter million signatures but the one asking him to divest only has 84,000. Needs 100,000 for the WH to respond. Not that you couldn’t write the response yourself.

I guess you make something great by killing it.
    Who knew?

  10. I tried the line 1-202-456-1111 Friday and got “the White House Comment line is currently closed”. Figured the VOLUNTEERS that staff the lines were off due to the inauguration. ::shrug::

But if the comment line is truly gone, I can’t help but wonder that the trumpkins couldn’t find anyone willing to volunteer to take calls from irate Americans.

  11. Hmmmm. Hannah, I have a friend who is a White House volunteer to see if she is still on the volunteer list. I was under the impression that volunteers couldn’t be fired inasmuch as they cost nothing and did something. My friend started with the Obama first term and continued on into the second. She says the volunteers were treated very well, including some perks and so forth.

  12. Maybe nobody wants to volunteer to answer Donnie’s phones…?

I had the White House app for President Obama. Deleted the app on 20 Jan as I didn’t want it befouling my iPhone. Why does anyone think that traitor trump will allow any petition to the White House to be answered?
