Risen From the Dead

April 15, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Tom DeLay, y’all.  Bless his heart, being on the take was the only thing he was any good at.  His exterminating business went belly up, he drank and caroused through three sessions of the Texas House and then had to resign from Congress.

1254860012_tom-delay-290A jury of his peers found him guilty of campaign finance violations but a friendly Republican judge dismissed the case on a legal technicality.

His one new claim to fame?

One of the most significant fights in Congressman long DeLay’s political career occurred in 1998, when the Majority Whip personally demanded the impeachment of Bill Clinton for lying under oath. The Majority Whip was successful again and for only the second time in U.S. history, Congress impeached the President of the United States. In 2003, Congress elected Congressman DeLay Majority Leader, the second most powerful position in the House.

Tom skips over the part where he put Dennis Hastert in as Speaker because Tom knew there was too much dirt on him personally to run.  By the way, Hastert was the only character witness at Tom’s trial. I wonder if Tom returned the favor.

This is about Tom’s fifth attempt (that I know of) to make a living.  His book fell flat, his first consulting business never got any clients, he tried to become real estate developer but nobody trusted him, and Dancing With the Stars didn’t exactly make him a movie star.

So now he has Tom DeLay and Associates.  It says he’s a founding partner but it doesn’t say who with.  I dunno, maybe they’re too embarrassed.  It could be the devil because Tom has partnered-up with him many a time.

I glanced around the site because that’s all my digestive system would take, but I never saw anyone else’s name.  Only Tom DeLay, no associates.  If y’all find anyone else associating with Tom, please let us know.

Now let me get to where I’m going with this.

You remember Texas Republican Congressvarmint Smokey Joe Barton, right?  He’s a man so tied to the gas, oil, grease, fracking, and coal business that they call him Smokey.

Smokey has hired Tom to do some damn thing.  I have evidence.

My handy pocket calculator says that’s about $34,000 in a month.  Honey, he hasn’t made that amount of money since he was on the take with Jack Abramoff.

Honey, if somebody has a website this … well, crappy, would you pay them $23,000 to make you a website?  And if you type www.TomDeLay.com, this is what you get so it’s not like Tom is some damn expert on websites.

I just thought you’d want to now that Tom DeLay is making a living.  I just want to spread the word so his church can expect $3,400 in the collection plate this Sunday.

Yeah.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

  1. Polite Kool Marxist says:

From http://www.Tom: “His decision to maintain a Defense Fund is due to the overwhelming response by friends and supporters who want to stand with him in his legal battles, particularly the criminalization of politics….”

Translation: “particularly the criminalization of politics”
Yes indeed, that’s what Tom and so many pols do best, the criminalization of politics.

Shorter Tom: Yes, he’s a criminal.

  2. Tom DeLay and Associates?

Shouldn’t that be Tom Delay and Cronies?

    Or possibly Co-conspirators?

    A. WTF, What’s with the “.ORG” top level domain?
I know things have loosened up in the IP world a bit, but once upon a time “.org”‘s TLD’s were designated for beneficial, non-profit, charitable, public weal type entities (no way DeLay…).
In contrast to the “.com” TLD’s which are commercial, profit seeking entities (and Tom’s should actually be “.coN” if it exists). Surely the “tomdelayandassociates.com” is free? Just checked, they have the “.com” too, but “.org” is cited.

OK, I checked the address, it’s a residence (so maybe JJ might edit it out of the comment?).
It’s a very nice Austin Westlake address SFH (near where I guessed it to be), 4K+ sqft, 5b-b, Zillow recent sale value (2011) of $960K, current val $1.1M+; with a curiously small mortgage balance…

Nearby streets are Hillbilly Lane and Bunny Run, so it’s likely on a golf course (and next to the Lake too). Not too shabby for a major felon (oh, wait…).

  5. This brings back memories of my late husband watching this piece of plasma on that dancing show. My husband was very musical and he got a kick out of singing “ta-ra-ra- BOOM -delay” and snickering.

  6. Let’s see: Dennis Hastert was the only character witness he could find? And this is the same Dennis Hastert who has recently been found guilty of bank fraud and is being investigated for paying off a victim of his sexual misconduct with several high-school wrestlers he was coaching many years ago? I thought a character witness was supposed to be someone whose word you could trust. Guess I was mistaken.

And those RWNBs vilify Nancy Pelosi! Last I checked, she wasn’t a pedofile nor a convicted felon.

  8. I do believe Tommy will use his tythe money to prepare a new home alter. It might require several months of tythes, new hot tubs aren’t cheap.

  9. @Sandridge

Well of course a nearby street is Hillbilly Lane. This IS Mister Tom de Lay we’re talkin’bout. River bottom white trash.

  10. UmptyDump says:

Yesterday, U.S. District Judge Thomas M. Durkin in Chicago, who will be sentencing Denny Hastert ruled that five dozen letters written on Hastert’s behalf must be made public if the defense wants them to be considered at sentencing.

Judge Durkin said there was no legal basis for the letters to remain hidden from public view because Hastert’s lawyers are asking the judge to consider them as part of their plea for probation.

If the Hastert’s lawyer’s want to go that route, it’ll be interesting to see who wrote those letters and – if DeLay wrote one of them – what is in it. I wonder if some of those letter writers are having second thoughts now, because whatever they had to say might be getting more public scrutiny than they bargained for.

  11. I just researched this property address and it appears to be the mansion of conspiracy RWNJ of all time, Alex Jones of InfoWars.

Yeah, Tommy, the Super Deluxe Brand of Liars and Grifters~

  12. AliceBeth says:

The website names him “Hon. Tom Delay”, well that is the first problem since there is nothing “honorable” about him.

    12
  13. OMG Jack Stick (shudder). He was my State Rep when Tom DeLay had some influence and he was just plain awful. And he was in the news last year — https://www.texastribune.org/2015/09/21/jack-stick-convicted-drunken-driving/

The Dogwood property has 0 bedrooms and 5 baths. Hmm.

As far as Smokey is concerned, I would like to know what Tom got on him to get him to give him that much money.

  14. Mark Schlemmer says:

Wow! I love the detectives at this Beauty Salon! Great bunch of factoids. Sounds like DeLay is in the bag for Alex Jones???!!!
Fictional literature is taking a big hit this election season because
the truth is so much odder? more colorful? more interesting?
Creepier? Tom DeLay. I shudder to think of a typical meeting
with DeLay, Alex Jones, and the likes of Joe Barton. Do you suppose Michael Berry and Glenn B. come over for poker?

    14
  15. Sandridge says:

    @Micr
    “River bottom white trash.”

Yeah, the dirtiest, nastiest, filthy, toxic, polluted river ever; DeLay gives “white trash” a bad rap.
The color scheme on his website is even ‘cockroach brown’.

All these interesting apparent interconnections between Tommyboy, Jones, Stick, Beck, et al., lead one to think it’s just a big scamming operation.
It probably churns out millions of those RWNJ emails and takes in mucho dinero from dimwitted gullible teabaggers thrilled to be part of the ‘inner circle’.

And FYI’s further info, that phone number in the IP registry info is from a downtown Austin exchange (Austin Greenwood– ‘4-7-‘, the big gray building cattycorner from the governors mansion and directly across Colorado St. from the DPS HQ).

  16. Jack Stick got busted for a lot more than DWI. That guy is as crooked as Cruz’s nose. I’m still scratching my head, wondering why Jack Stick isn’t making brooms down in Huntsville.
