Okay, Somebody Check Ben Carson’s Brain

March 06, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

You know, when he was doing all the brain surgery maybe he accidentally became a donor.

He just referred to slaves as immigrants.

“That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity,” Carson said. “There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.”

Ben!  The only dream they had was that they survived the trip.

Good Lord, did he sleep through Black History Month?  I mean, it’s only March 6th. You’d think he could remember.

Thanks to Bill for the heads up.

His bad memory, it’s God’s gift to him. Can you imagine remembering evry damned stupid thing to ever come out of your mouth?

I can, you can, most people can, and it haunts us. Ben, not so much. He remembers them as fluffy good tidings, filled with wisdom.

    1
  2. Charles, since there were only 2 of those “fluffy good tidings, filled with wisdom,” it’s not that hard to remember. Millions of exceptionally stupid comments do make it difficult to recall.

  3. L'Angelomisterioso says:

@JJHOSOP- You see Carson’s not black,at least in the way other persons of color are. He might have had Doctor’s license plates on his auto so he wouldn’t get stopped for driving while black, which may, or may not, be a felony and, depending on the mood of the LEO who made the stop a capital offense. Besides being not black he was a surgeon, and a conservative, which considerations do not require that he be human.

    3
  4. As Mark Twain suggested to an editor, “You should take your brain out and have it cleaned. Anyone can see it’s all caked up.”

Not only is Carson unqualified to run HUD, I’m not sure he’s qualified to be out in public.

  5. charles phillips says:

Yes, L’Angel, but does his conservatism require he be so damned stupid?

    Oops, forgot; IOKIYAR.

    5
  6. charles phillips says:

Debbo, he doesn’t remember anything he says as anything other than “fluffy good tidings,” that’s the problem. He’s delusional in his conservatism.

  7. AliceBeth says:

I think some actual Black people should take him in and perhaps educate him. A reading list should be involved and some movies should be mandatory. I am white so I will not presume to be an expert on what he needs. However, I went to school in GA and my high school was integrated by junior year. I taught in SC in a school that had one white child. He was in my first grade class. I just have to believe that I understand the history of Black people in this country way the hell better than this man. Of course he was chosen an ignorant clueless person so we should not be surprised that he is also.

    7
  8. I’m white. There are white people that make me cringe. Painfully. You probably can guess who they are. Many are in politics in Texas. The guy in the office across the hall from me, who’s Hispanic, says “Thank God they’re white, they’re your problem”.

So … if you’re reading this and you’re black and Dr Carson makes ya cringe, I feel for ya. But as Joe says, Thank god he’s black, he’s your problem! 🙂

  9. AK Lynne says:

Unfortunately, Micr, he’s our problem too. As are all of these Trump creations in our government. Or is the word cretins?

    9
  10. JAKvirginia says:

Okay. Taking bets on whether he’s been to the African-American Museum on the Mall. Anyone?

    10
  11. Chloe Bear says:

I think he went to the museum with trump or he may have just been there for the photo opp and never toured the museum.

    11
  12. Sandridge says:

Trump’s very special ‘house nigger’ is just delusional, or going senile. Too damn bad these people hold absolute power over us all.
    .
Meanwhile, on PBS Roy Orbison’s “Black and White concert is on (I remember 30 years ago when it first ran, on my homemade ‘home theater’ it was awesome, made the pool water jump).

    12
  13. JAKvirginia says:

Chloe Bear: You are correct. I should have Googled. He was on a tour with CJ. And here’s an interesting tidbit. The tour started in the basement which tells the story of slaving and slave ships! Wow. Dr. Stabby must have not been paying attention!

    13
  14. Chloe Bear says:

Perhaps he was searching for the exhibit dedicated to him (there is not one) and missed the start of the tour.

Eh why Google when you can simply ask.

    14
  15. Jane & PKM says:

Mental Ben must have attended one of Betsy’s charter schools, where “separate but equal” was taught as a good thing. First order of business after impeaching Donnie, if he doesn’t self immolate first, is insuring that all schools teach the 14th Amendment. That would include the religious wrong home “schoolers.” If they and their kid(s) cannot understand the principle of equality, no diplomas for them until they learn.

    15
  16. I know this is off topic, but Rachel Maddow rocks. So it turns out that Donnie Douchebag was doing business helping launder money for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Oops. But seriously, how long does everyone think it will take for some sort of federal charges to be brought against Rachel?

    16
  17. Okay, Lawrence O’Donnell just called Donnie the most ignorant president in history. So if charges are brought against Rachel, then Lawrence should really be watching out for umbrella carrying folks with Russian accents.

    17
  18. 1smartcanerican says:

I’ve been very worried about the security for Rachel Maddow and also Lawrence O’Donnell now. They are ripping it up and if it can reach some of the lawmakers, maybe we will have a change. Rachel has been on fire for the last week or so – and all of it directed to #45’s illegal, criminal, un-American activities over the decades.

    18
  19. What can you expect from a guy who thinks the pyramids in Egypt were for grain storage? Ben needs to study up on the slave trade and Betsy DeVos needs to realize historically black colleges weren’t created because the kids got a voucher.

    19
  20. Lunargent says:

The sheer, inexcusable stupidity of Carson’s statement is – words fail me.

    20
  21. Lunargent says:

    p p –

Yeah, Rachel has been doing some stellar reporting on various financial shenanigans. Not just Trump – Tillerson, too. She’s the best reporter on TV, IMO.

    21
  22. Marcia in CO says:

Perhaps Carson only went to the museum to look at the pictures rather then read any of the information plaques or articles! Sort of like those folks who use to buy the Playboy mag and say “Oh, I just get it for the jokes and articles, not the pictures!” LOL Sure you did!!

    22
  23. “…did he sleep through Black History Month? I mean, it’s only March 6th. You’d think he could remember.”

    And with that lead-in…!

“(Your brain) remembers everything you’ve ever seen. Everything you’ve ever heard. I could take the oldest person here, make a little hole right here on the side of the head and put some depth electrodes into their hippocampus and stimulate. And they would be able to recite back to you, verbatim, a book they read 60 years ago. It’s all there. It doesn’t go away. You just have to learn how to recall it.” – Ben “The great grain bins of Giza!” Carson, yesterday.

    23
  24. Probably inhaled too much of the remains of anesthesia from all those surgeries. Is he stable? More so than CJ but then thats not saying a lot.

Samuel L. Jackson had some choice words for Carson, but they are not suitable for Mama.

  26. JAKvirginia says:

And as is typical for this administration, Dr. Stabby doubled down about immigration. They were “involuntary immigrants” doncha know! Dr. Stabby says check the dictionary. I did. An immigrant is someone who ‘comes’ from one country to another. ‘Comes’ infers choice. Slaves had no choice. They were hunted down, bound in chains, and enslaved in Africa. They did not choose to get on those ships. They were cargo at that point.

Dr. Stabby? When you look in the mirror do you see a black man? Cause you’re sounding alot like Jessie Helms. I’m just sayin….

    26
  27. Ooookaaay! its time for Dr Stabby to get a professional PR mouthpiece to handle the public statements to the press or otherwise. Here’s the rub. With all the cuts that CJ wants to make to anything non-military, Dr. Stabby would be lucky to get a temp as a secretary in his office. He’s being set up to fail in a very visible way just like the State Dept.’s budget with all the cuts in the security section, as in consulates, etc. And I’m not talking about replacing the burnt out light bulbs over the back doors. R’s love spouting patriotism whilst gutting the security of this country with a rusty spoon.

Look, let’s finally get this straight, okay?

Brave British sailors operated a cruise line where adventurous African tourists could work their way across the ocean by rowing to America. Once there, they received cultural orientation, new names, and important positions in agri-business while staying at rustically accurate homesteads (no extra charge).

I don’t know why this is so hard to understand. My Texas charter school did a really goodly job explaining it.
