Oh Dear
Republican Representative Diane Black is running for governor of Tennessee.
And, oh dear lord, she has things all figured out.
Especially this stuff about school shootings.
During a meeting last week with local pastors, Black raised the issue of gun violence in schools and why it keeps happening.
“Pornography,” she said.
“It’s available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store. Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there’s pornography there,” she continued. “All of this is available without parental guidance. I think that is a big part of the root cause.”
Bless her heart, I think Diane has been “reaching up” too much.
Diane Black is one of those politicos that you’ve heard of but you forgot you’ve heard of her.
Back in 2009, one of her staffers sent around a racist, anti-Obama email which resulted in a reprimand from her for violating her office email policy. Dems fumed and fussed and she ignored the racism and the anti-Obama parts. Later iirc her biggest corporate donor hired that staffer as their capitol hill lobbyist.

1Diane is more than a little confused in the “cause and effect” department. Gun violence and unnecessary untimely deaths are obscene, but they are not the result of obscenity or pornography. Her tragedy is her mindset that allows her to bury her head in the sand to ignore the basic fact(s) that guns do cause deaths. Unholy carp, if guns did indeed make us safer, the 300+ million saturation point of guns is this country should make us the safest country on the planet. But that just isn’t so. Diane would know that, if she ever landed on our planet long enough for a reality check.

5As a resident of TN and a retired RN, I am horrified that this woman was ever a nurse. I would like to apologize to every patient she ever encountered. In one of her horrific ads she says this crap about working for that nurse “who just finished a double shift”. RNs in hospitals works 12 hrs now, a double shift is illegal, 24 hrs of continued shift cannot happen. She has no clue on what is going on in health care. And she has a huge mansion…did not get that working as a nurse. Classic racist grifter.

7In all the grocery stores I go to (HEB, Walmart, Target) the bottom two magazine rack shelves always have dozens of GUNZ magazines. The better for the kiddies access I guess.

Really, Diane? And how do you know that? I have never thought to wonder, let alone find out, where I need to look to find the pornography section in any store. “Excuse me, shelf stocker, where do you keep the porn? And the produce?”

* the easy availability of firearms is obscene
* things which are each equal to something else are equal to each other
Therefore, the easy availability of firearms is a form of pornography.
Pornography can be regulated by the government.
Therefore, guns can also be regulated by … AHHH!!! Head.Exploding!
15Remember back in 1982, when someone in the Chicago area laced some Tylenol capsules with potassium cyanide and several people died? And remember when the National Cyanide Association (NRA, excuse me, NCA) said “Cyanide doesn’t kill people. People kill people”?
Now that I think of it, I don’t remember that second part. I do remember, though, how hard I sometimes have to work to peel off the wrapper around the tamper-proof lid of a new bottle of mouthwash/eyedrops/pain reliever/allergy medicine/etc. But, then, I guess we don’t have a “constitutional” right to any of those things…

She is running for Gov against a very popular former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, who is also the former director of Metro Department of Law – where he was also beloved. She will be gone from the US House along with her sidekick Marsha Blackburn who is running for Corker’s Senate seat against a former beloved Mayor of Nashville and Governor of Tennessee. Marsha the Moron is also NOT KNOWN outside her district except for idiotic Planned Parenthood lies and both stand with Dotard.
Tennessee is flippable this round – let’s do it and be rid of Black and Blackburn. There are many others like DesJarlis who need ousting, but we don’t have an opponent yet.
