Louie! Shuddup!

March 27, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Y’all, Louie Gohmert sat in the United States congress and announced that Democrats are just like Nazis because they both are socialist.

No, I am not freeking kidding.

When several Democrats sought to set him straight about the difference between genuine socialists and National Socialist German Workers’ Party — known as Nazis — Gohmert insisted that he was correct.

“I’m sorry — we need to do everything we can to avoid another Holocaust,” he said, but “they were the National Socialist Party. It’s what they were. … They claimed to be socialists, and they were.”

Well, there’s a big ole bag of nope.

Louie went to Texas A&M University and I believe that A&M needs to be alerted to the deficiencies of their political science departments.  Or, oh hell, their thinking department.

Several other congress folks tried to school Louie on the differences between socialism, fascism, nazis, and communists but Louie ain’t hearing it.  Louie quit giving town halls after Gabby Giffords was shot because he was self-convinced that somebody would shoot him. I think he’s still not giving town halls. He’s that confused.

Oh well, at least he doesn’t think Democrats are all still in the Muslim Brotherhood. I guess that’s a little progress.

Be social and share!

  1. At least Louie wasn’t reading “Mein Kampf” exerts like Mo Brooks (Rep.rehensible)^…

  2. Jane & PKM says:

Louie is a Republicon. Some might think that means Louie is FOR our republic. They would be wrong.

As Old Fart pointed out, there’s a whole lot of st00pid in the House. Mo Brooks, Steve King, Gym Jordan, Mark Meadows, basically every critter on the “R” side of the House is some blend of st00pid and corrupt. But give Louie points for stepping up with an incredibly st00pid statement anytime he feels that his position as the dumbest dope in Congress is threatened. Marsha Blackburn owes Louie. She got herself elected to the Senate thanks to Louie deflecting from her st00pid to reclaim his position.

“Louie went to Texas A&M University ”

Probably his parents had to pay big bribe money to get him admitted. Too bad the Aggie cadets did not scoop up his wooden head for the big annual bonfire.

OK, all you fellow Texans: feel free to pile on the Aggie jokes. It’s not like we’d be offending someone capable o understanding the insults.

  4. A word of advice for House Democrats, from George Bernard Shaw:

I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.

I’m willing to bet ol’ Louie really doesn’t care whether Democrats are Nazis. He just wants some attention. And the House D’s are willing to accommodate him.

Really? Who cares what Louie thinks? We all know he’s nuts.

    4
  5. As a student of world history, Louie might also remember The Peoples REPUBLIC of China (RED China) was ruled by Chairman Mao, which by Louie’s own logic makes him and his RED state REPUBLICAN cohorts, commies.

  6. the noisy re-thugs doth protest too much. perhaps they actually do understand that THEY resemble Nazi’s with their fear and hatred of ‘other’ (i.e folks that do not look or speak like them as evidenced by a muslim ban and caging children @ the border). so they are deflecting. or they are simply just that horrible and lacking of self-awareness. i can’t decide and am too tired to try to figure them out. i hope someone can figure them out so we can have sensible candidates defeat them in 2020.

  7. Louie is so far round the bend he meets himself coming.

    7
  8. I’ve heard that before. The GOP thinks progressives are as stupid as the tea party.

Gohmert knows better. He’s not that stupid. But he’s saying he thinks we are.

  9. Buttermilk Sky says:

    Dear Louie,

    Democratic Republic of Korea.

Does that make Kim Jong-un a Democrat or a Republican?

    Sincerely,

  10. True story.
Years ago my lovely lady was attending a summer camp/workshop at Texas A&M with some of her high school students. While pulling into a parking garage on campus, she stopped behind the severely enraged driver of a jacked up pickup truck. He had successfully passed under the the brightly colored plastic pipe hanging from the ceiling with the maximum height of vehicles printed plainly on it.
    Without disturbing it.
And then promptly drove into the bottom of the first cross-beam, crunching his windshield and roof.
After asking a parking attendant why the hell the height indicator pipe wasn’t hung at the actual height of lowest clearance to warn folks,
he was told that it was only hanging there for people to be able to read the minimum height.
And Aggies pride themselves on turning out world class engineers.

    10
  11. Aggieland Liz says:

Yes. Aggies. There are a plethora of enraged young men in jacked up trucks in these parts. (At least you don’t have to ask if they are dangerous idiots, it’s self-evident). In her defense, the old alma mater cranks out world class folks in every discipline. Louie ain’t one of them. Rick Perry ain’t one of them either.

    11
  12. Malarkey says:

When I lived in Dallas, everyone told Aggie jokes. The one I remember is a double Aggie-Okie joke:

Did you hear about the Okie who went to A&M? When he graduated, he moved home and raised the average IQ of both states!

    12
  13. twocrows says:

Time for a little larnin’, Louie:
“. . . [S]wearing fidelity only to God, our conscience, and our Volk. This the national government will regard its first and foremost duty …[it] will take Christianity, as the basis of our collective morality …. May God Almighty take our work into his grace, give true form to our will, bless our insight, and endow us with the trust of our Volk.” — Adolf Hitler [1933.]

So, uh Louie? What now? Get rid of Christianity?
It makes a lot more sense than panicking about Socialism, since Nazis really DID claim to be Christians — just like Republicans do.
Just like Rick “I don’t want to give my money to blah people” Santorum does.

    13
  14. Louie was in the Corps, so he never went to class.

    14
  15. So… picking up on some Louie logic, it is offered that: Oh yeah, that, and since Little Donnie Trump’s bff is Putin, and that Putin used to belong to, was trained by, and spied for, the USSR, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republicans, then Trump’s major affection is socialist, thus Louie needs to write something bad about Trump’s socialist-commitment.

Louie may have to print this in all caps, but he can do it, as he is a writer.

    15
  16. Grandma Ada says:

Why did the Aggies refuse to play football with Texas Tech? They had TT on their shirts!

    Sorry

    16
  17. Is it true that beginning his freshman year Louie took the train all the way to the end of the line because he couldn’t figure out College Station was his stop ?

    17
  18. Message to Louie G. – Hey, we – that means you and me – are all children of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the man the Repubs labeled a socialist. They apparently were not aware of the importance of lower and upper S. The early Christians practiced socialism: they opened and operate their own “hospitals”, such as they were at the time, they made sure everyone was fed, clothed, had a roof overhead, did some sort of meaningful work. That kind of socialism is where its at, Louie, and those early Christians were really practicing what Jesus preached.

  19. Gary Halter says:

You assume Louie can be educated.

    19
  20. I hear Louie and Utah senator Mike Lee are gonna have a cage match in the Capitol rotunda to determine once and for all the stupidest man in Congress. My money’s on Lee. That makes Louie the second stupidest by default. He’s gonna be so mad.

    20
  21. “It is thus necessary that the individual should finally come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole … that above all the unity of a nation’s spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual….”

“This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture…. The basic attitude from which such activity arises, we call-to distinguish it from egoism and selfishness-idealism. By this we understand only the individual’s capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow men.”

These statements were made in our century by the leader of a major Western nation. His countrymen regarded his view point as uncontroversial. His political program implemented it faithfully.
(Now that you’re nodding your head in agreement)

The statements were made by Adolf Hitler. He was explaining the moral philosophy of Nazism.
