How You Know Donald Trump Will Lose

October 26, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Honey, Honey, Honey, you ain’t the only one who knows Donald Trump is gonna be beat like a bongo drums at Matthew McConaughey’s house.  House Republicans also know it.

Yeah, they haven’t already pissed off women enough.  They need to do some more of that.

unknownJason Chaffetz, the Utah congressman wrapping up his first term atop the powerful House Oversight Committee, unendorsed Donald Trump weeks ago. That freed him up to prepare for something else: spending years, come January, probing the record of a President Hillary Clinton.

“It’s a target-rich environment,” the Republican said in an interview in Salt Lake City’s suburbs. “Even before we get to Day One, we’ve got two years’ worth of material already lined up. She has four years of history at the State Department, and it ain’t good.”

A target-rich environment?  They’re gonna carpet bomb Hillary?

Thanks to Bryan for the heads up.

  1. They’re gonna make George W. Bush looking for WMDs under the table at the White House Press Correspondant’s dinner look like a paragon of sincere competence.

You’d think they’d give up after being made to look like damfools five or six or seventy-three times. But they’re about as smart as sheep at rutting time.

  2. WA Skeptic says:

Dump the Rethuglican Obstructionists! Time for them to think of their country, not just their party.

    2
  3. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Not past Speaker Pelosi, they won’t.

Wake up snacilbupeR. If you are so tired of the direction of our country and the do nothing Congress, then stop adhering to the Einstein principle of insanity. Stop voting for obstructionist fools.

    3
  4. JAKvirginia says:

Wake up snacilupeR, PKM? More like wake up, Dems. We’ve had 8 years of obstruction and do nothing bullcrap against Obama. Now they offer more. There are midterm elections in 2018 and if Dems can’t make this a strong campaign issue then we don’t deserve the WH or any office.

    4
  5. At least he’s being honest about something. He’s letting everyone know he’s planning on job avoidance for at least the next two years. And yet, we still have to pay him. Funny…when I was working, if I didn’t do my job, I would have been fired. But then, I’m not a Republican.

    5
  6. e platypus onion says:

Which is why it is imperative for every Dem to get off their duff and vote wingnuts out. Dems need to retake the house and use subpoena power to throw even more wingnuts out of office for malfeasance and fleas.

    6
  7. Total lack of self awareness. Chaffetz had his butt handed to him by Cecile Richards and he came off looking like a clueless fool. When will this country get enough of Republican grandstanding?

    7
  8. I have taken the thought path that Secy Clinton would most likely prevail on November 8th but that Dems might not win congressional seats in any great numbers. This path considers that snacilbupeR will target President Clinton 45 much as they targeted President Clinton 42. Sadly the Tea Party inspired Congressional gridlock will not im<ho go away until they do. And in many cases they look non-plussed in this election cycle.

I don't doubt wrath of G*d stuff in their respective futures but probably not in 2016.

    8
  9. Let’s say the common man or woman applies for a job with a corporation, perhaps frying burgers at McDonald’s. They’re hired! On the first day of work they tell their shift manager, and shareholders of McDonald’s Corp Inc that they ain’t cookin’ no Big Macs, they’ve got bigger Fish Filet to fry.

They’re gonna spend years investigating the C.E.O. of McDonald’s.

Question. How long until they’re shown the door?

    9
  10. For fleas especially, epo.

The rising insurance problems aren’t helping Democratic candidates. They need to put the blame where it belongs, at the feet of the snacilbupeR. I imagine something like this:

    People fretting over insurance bill.
“Democrats tried to fix health insurance for you with Senate/House bill #xxx. Republican senator/rep xx voted against help for you.”
    More people stressed about bills.
“Democrats tried to help you again with Senate/House bill #xox. Republicans are trying to take away your health care, your guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions, coverage for your 26 year old. America needs a Democratic Congress so you can have the help you need.”

    10
  11. @Rick
Well being Captain Obvious here, the consumers didn’t hire the McD employee, McD did. And McD in most states can get rid of an employee relatively quickly. Regarding the Congress, there isn’t a corporation exactly like McD’s. The peoples for sure hire the congress but we only get a chance to send them packing infrequently, not just when they pi$$ us off. Plus there are some from Az and MI and UT that I’d fire right now if I could not just 99.1% of the herd from Tejas.

Of course if I am ever selected Benevolent Dictator of the Universe for Life I might get around to fixing Congress about day 3. Day 1 is reserved for a bulldozer and ridding of all kerbs between business parking lots. Grrrrr!

    11
  12. Suggestion for Day 2?
While you’ve got the dozer out, would you please get rid of all speed bumps?

    12
  13. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

Further proof that you can’t teach a Republican Congresscritter anything new. They just keep doing what they’ve always done.

    13
  14. Vote, vote, vote, vote, vote, vote, VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!! I have spoken.

    14
  15. So the rePUKEians have thrown away $75Million on investigations that went no where and now they want to do more, to throw money away and then blame everyone else!!!

    15
  16. Polite Kool Marxist says:

JAKvirginia, points! Motivating Democrats and educating snacilbupeR are tasks more frustrating than the proverbial Myth of Sisyphus.

Micr, I’ll plead guilty on behalf of NV. A mere four Congressional Districts here and we’re batting .750 for morons. Worse yet we have a highly qualified and lovely lady running for Senate. But she’s in a statistically tied battle with one of the House morons running for that seat, Joe Heck. He’s a not so charming combination of Mike Pence and Joe Arpaio. A medical doctor who is a forced birther. Unbelievable!

    16
  17. Annabelle Lee says:

Good. They need to keep shooting themselves in the foot until they finally bleed out.

    17
  18. @pkm

That in a nutshell is the problem: snacilbupeR ignorance/moronity runs at Reggie Jackson October slugging percentage equivalent rates in some states. Possibly NV certainly in Tejas.

Until these idiot fringe voters and their enablers are run back into the darkness no Dem POTUS will do well.

    18
  19. @Zyxomma

As Senator Benson’s best Dallas friend said during a pep talk in the run-up to the 1988 Presidential election, “Vote early, vote often.” Yeah that was unfortunate but we really understood. That election, as failed as it ended up, felt like we were doing G*d’s work.

    19
  20. JAKvirginia says:

    CALLING ALL WICCANS!!!!

Halloween, your supposed favorite night, is coming fast. Can’t you whip up a brew or incantation to get rid of these a$$holes? What’cha need? Eye of Newt? No prob. He won’t miss it. Wrong newt? Sorry. I’ll readily grab a shovel and go dig for whatever you need if I have to. You just let me know, m’kay? WE CAN DO THIS!

    20
  21. Tilphousia says:

Fine. The rethugs can investigate away as long as they use their own money and none of mine or any other taxpayer. When is country going to mean something to these quislings instead of private partisan agendas?

    21
  22. So he and his ilk will do everything they can to NOT earn their pay? Gotta warn this boy. Turn about is very often fair play. He can be investigated, too.

    22
  23. Keep visualizing a progressive wave sweeping all those dead wood rethugs out of congress and hope all that good karma wins back the Senate, House and White House. Oh, and vote for God’s sake.

    23
  24. Sounds like some new opportunities for Hillary to make the Repubs look like total fools.

    24
  25. Lynn, that’s a very low bar

    25
  26. Wyatt Earl says:

“As your outgoing President, I do not believe Hillary Clinton has committed any criminal acts. But to focus Congress on doing their job instead of going on endless witch hunts, I hereby use my power as President, granted me in the Constitution, to pardon her for all acts she ever committed.”

And to quote Gerald Ford, our long national nightmare is over.

what’s the worst that could happen? The Alt-right ill hate Obama?

    26
  27. JAKvirginia,

    1) To remove them is not that simple as a brew or incantation…because they have to be given the opportunity to change and grow.

    2) Wiccan Rede does not believe in casting where you impinge on another’s free will. In reality it is far more focused at self growth and improvement, environment improvement, than fix another person.

    3) I don’t want them gone, I want them transformed to a higher vibe and away from their fear and hate. I’ll continue to send light, love, and harmony–hoping it helps them improve. I’ll even send some your way too.

    27
  28. basta! if congress wants to play hardball turn W and chainy boy over to the Hauge for a real investigation

    28
  29. Annabelle Lee says:

@Star, send some over my way, too. This election season has worn me down.

    29
  30. Our work will never be done.

How dare they use our tax money to do this crap!

    30
  31. Jim "Prup" Benton says:

Star: I will gladly accept some good mana coming my way as well. As a firm rationalist, I don’t believe in any such nonsense, of course. But as Niels Bohr said, when asked about the horseshoe in is classroom at the Princeton Institute, ‘they say you don’t have to believe it for it to work.’

The Republicans are actually threatening to impeach Hillary before the election — and what’s worse, they (technically) can. They could impeach her for her actions as SoS (not that they have grounds but that isn’t a factor). Were they to succeed — not possible, of course, she could be impeached but not convicted — she could be ruled ineligible for any office (though not at all sure if this would include electoral offices, know that at least one Judge was impeached and later elected to Congress — was it Alcee Hastings?).

However, just another reason for making sure that we win back both Houses of Congress, not just the White House.

    31
  32. In related news, megacreep Rep. Darrell Issa may lose his seat. Here’s hoping!

    32
  33. And now they–as personified by Ted Cruz–are talking about never confirming a Clinton Justice nominee.

That would probably be a gift to Clinton and the Dems. It would be incredibly visible and incredibly hypocritical considering they’ve been saying for a year that the next President should choose the new Justice.

    33
  34. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Lunargent, thank you for the harbinger of good news.

😀 I’d promise to buy nothing but Wisconsin cheese, if Lyin’ Ryan were to be shown the exit in Cantor fashion.

CA, TX ,an WI we love you. We’d love you more if you dropped some of your snacilbupeR excess baggage.

    34
  35. Marge Wood says:

Anyone visible who opens her/his mouth is a target rich environment. How about we carpet bomb this guy?

    35
  36. Marge Wood says:

PKM, we’re TRYING, dang it. Come help us.

    36
  37. Marge Wood says:

Star, I’m not a Wiccan but I’ve been praying for healing and help for Trump. Someone like he is is going to be very grumpy and act out a lot if Hillary wins.

    37
  38. Marge Wood says:

Never ever take anything for granted.
…statement from a dr. I used to work for.

    38
  39. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Marge Wood, Jane and I are doing everything we can to help Texas, thanks to the many opportunities JuanitaJean Herownself, Bubba, Glen and the good people like Hazel and her Team provide us. Many thanks to all the Texans devoted to turning Texas BLUE!

Here in purple as in bruised NV, we’re doing what we can to elect Catherine Cortez Masto to the Senate and improve our lousy .750 record as to who we send to the House.

BTW One of the best articles ever to combat the snacilbupeR regarding Obamacare. https://desertbeacon.wordpress.com/2016/10/26/dont-grab-your-pearls-aca-exchange-premium-increase-in-nevada-6/

Let’s vote and BURY the snacilbupeR with facts!

    39
  40. JAKvirginia says:

Star… with all due respect, save your light, love and harmony. They’d wipe you out in a heartbeat. And then make jokes about it. Even Wiccans must recognize pure evil when it surfaces.

    40
  41. Elizabeth Moon says:

The GOP is a bigger target-rich environment than Clinton could be even if all the lies they tell about her were true.

    41
  42. Jim "Prup" Benton says:

DESERT BEACON is one of the most reliable and interesting blogs around. I’ve compared DB favorably even to Krugman, because she does not assume as much knowledge in her readers and has no qualms in explaining the same point ten times in ten articles because there may always be new readers. (I’ve compared her to some of the best skeptical bloggers on this, or to Asimov’s science writing. Yes, I know this is high praise, but she’s been deserving it for years, and I regret it when — as now — she’s slipped off the daily list. Time to put her back on, with you, Zandar, Beale, and Ed Brayton)

    42
  43. If her stint as Secretary of State were really a target-rich environment, Bernie Sanders would be the Dem nominee because all this crap would have mattered during the campaign.

    43
  44. Thank you, nice read.
