Heads Up to Texas Friends

All three of the announced candidates for new Democratic National Committee Chair will be in Austin this Saturday at 1:30 at the State Democratic Executive Committee meeting to speak.  The meeting is open to the public and while questions and speeches from the floor are not allowed (or we’d be there for a month), you will be able to meet the candidates and hear them speak.  Most Texas Democratic National Committee members will also be there.  They are the ones who vote on the new chair and this is your opportunity to lobby them for your favorite candidate.

Saturday, December 17th at the Sheraton (701 E. 11th) at 1:30. Announced candidates:  Keith Ellison, Jaime Harrison, and Raymond Buckley

  1. Do we really have to believe Trump when he says believe Me ??

Will there be an internet broadcast?

One can philosophize and bemoan the Twitler’s win, but there are at least two aspects worth emulating because they have been demonstrably effective:

    1) Twitler has gotten high marks for the breadth of people he’s been meeting with in forming his policies — sports figures, captains of industry, etc. How can we mirror that success?

    2) Like or not, Twitler has been a master of labeling, reinforcing that labeling through repetition, and then using it as a “one voice” message which could be used throughout the campaign (e.g., Lyin’ Ted, Crooked Hillary). They’ve also been very good at casting Democrats as “attacking them” (e.g., war on Xmas, stealing your $ through taxes). How do you see the DNC using similar tactics and incorporating marketing and psychological studies to better reach voters on the emotional level?

    3)

  3. Rastybob, when the Cheetoh-faced Ferret-wearing Shitgibbon Cocksplat says “believe me,” That’s a sign not to. When he doesn’t say “believe me,” that’s a sign not to. When he doesn’t say a word, but nods or shakes his head, that’s a sign not to. When he doesn’t say a word, does not move, and appears catatonic, that’s a sign not to. By virtue of the fact that the Cheetoh-faced Ferret-wearing Shitgibbon Cocksplat seems to exist, that’s a sign to disbelieve him.

I’d like the three of them to each explain why the DNC hasn’t pushed all the Democratic electors to request an intelligence briefing on the Twitler’s connection to the Russians.

Debbo, generally in NY “trust me” is an expletive. “Believe me” must be the Manhattan version.
