Gotta Love Colorado Republicans

June 29, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Republicans felt pretty certain that they could win a senate seat in Colorado.  Democrat Michael Bennet, who just barely won in 2010, seemed vulnerable to them.

Screen Shot 2016-06-29 at 11.07.11 AMColorado Republicans were all set to win, but they couldn’t find a damn candidate.  Apparently, a little known county commissioner with very little financial backing won the primary. And he’s a tad crazy.

Darryl Glenn did it again. With little money and an all-volunteer staff, the county commissioner from El Paso shocked the Republican establishment again Tuesday by clinching the party’s nomination for U.S. Senate and earning a chance to unseat Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet in November.

Glenn is endorsed by Ken Cuccinelli and Sarah Palin.  He has promised “not to work with Democrats” if elected.  He’s Ben Carson minus the sparkling personality.

But here’s the fun part.  In describing the primary, the Denver Post wrote ….

The Election Night results capped a bizarre primary that featured a menagerie of chaos from forgery charges and millionaire candidates to an exploding toilet and a Great Dane named Duke.

Hell, how did we miss that?

Proof the end times are near. Their are some crazy MF in CO.
Is he self funding? Will Drumpf give him a loan? I bet he made Mick’s day. Best news out of CO. in a long time.

Hells bells, I live in S. CO and even I missed that!!

Rastybob … yessirree, Bob … there are more then a few crazy mf’ers out here and they are both M and F [as in gender] but the other fits as well!! Two of them, females, where I live, believe the End Times, the Rapture is due at any moment because of the invention of driverless cars and cars that are supposedly “… shaped like eggs.” Are driverless cars shaped like eggs? Hell, I don’t know. And what’s this BS about Obama wanting to create chaos this summer? This and the car business got a “That’s bullshit” out of me, so one of the ladies refused to get on the elevator with me!! LOL
Good ole President booing Republican Baptists!! Puke!!!

I don’t get it, this guy accepted the endorsments from Palin and Cuchinelli. Those two make Brownback look semi-sane and we all knows he has just all but destroyed Kansas.

  4. Marcia in CO says:

Oh, I voted for Michael Bennett.

  5. Endorsed by Ken Cuccinelli and Sarah Palin — well, there’s a couple of sparkling recommendations. And why did he get them?

He has promised “not to work with Democrats” if elected.

That’s like applying for a job as a pharmacist when you have an irrational fear of little things in plastic bottles. Dude, you’re grossly unqualified. Go away.

  6. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Smack. Hey Darryl, that’s the sound of that Palin endorsement – aka the kiss of death. Now take Ken Cuccinelli’s arm Darryl for that walk over to the losers’ circle. Bye!

  7. Prup (aka Jim Benton) says:

Colorado is also one of the two Rocky Mountain States that nominated a trans candidate in a Congressional Primary. Misty Plowright will be Doug Lamborn’s opponent in November. In Utah, Misty Snow is the Senatorial candidate against Mike Lee. Both won hard-contested Primaries, and while neither one has much of a chance — actually, if Trump keeps turning off Utahans, Snow may have the better shot — but the thought alone is incredible, the fact that these were actual Primary victors and not accidental winners in an uncontested race, that Snow actually won the nomination by running for a $15 minimum wage, as pro-choice, and for marijuana legalization shows that, despite the orange horror, the country is changing in some serious directions.

  8. Ken Cuccinelli and Sarah Palin endorsed him? And he won’t work with democrats. He sounds like a real keeper.

Cuccinelli reminds me of this sad kid who used to scream bible verses at kids going to parties and Palin the dumb girl who thought he was smart ’cause he didn’t move his lips when he read.

More and more, it looks as though making empty promises to the base while doing whatever Wall Street wants has bitten the Republicans badly. Hopefully, the Democrats have learned from recent events, and will start listening to their base rather than engaging in hippie-bashing to show their triangulation chops.

  10. Virginians like me know The Kooch as a Sharia Law lover. In every way, its his way or the highway. He lost the Mr.Congeniality contest ages ago. Thats why he got upended in the gubernatorial election. The current state AG does not come with a flaming branding iron int he shape of an “A” and is willing to listen to people.

  11. I googled this guy. He is a retired Air Force Lt. Col. As a native, life-long San Antonian, I instantly understood.

  12. JAKvirginia says:

17 nominees and their candidate is Drumpf. Now this guy. I think the Republicans have gone beyond the bottom of the barrel. They broke through the metal and now are digging in the dirt. Sad.

  13. I got an email that contained a big, black box in the center with these words:

“Remember when Sarah Palin was the craziest Republican? Yeah, the good old days.”

More and more of the snacilbupeR are nucking futz.

  14. Susan the Neon Nurse says:

I’m blanking on which exact year, but not so long ago in CO, the Rs came THAAAAAAAT close to being demoted from being a major party in the state (which would have put them on future ballots in the middle of the Greens, Libetarians, etc.) The reason was that the top race on the ballot (something congressional, I think) had been hotly contested in a primary not unlike the one we just saw, and one of the R players got mad at losing and ran as an independent. They were successful enough to draw lots of what would have been R votes. The end result was that if the R had gotten a TENTH of a PERCENT few votes, he would have fallen below threshold and the Rs would have lost their status as a Major Party.

So I am just WAITING to see what happens next!! 🙂

  15. He has promised “not to work with Democrats…”

Heck, why not just taking the Rubio pledge not to work at all.

  16. maryelle says:

Child psychologists describe and advancement in behavior as “cooperative play”, a step up the evolutionary scale from associative play. Somehow, those who never attained this sociological growth seem to gravitate toward the RKlan and feel they must stay true to their stunted growth by proclaiming that they will never work cooperatively with those who think differently. For them, evolution stopped a long time ago.

    16
  17. Maryelle: I think you’re giving these d*****bags way too much credit. They’re “unapologetic” Christians. They don’t believe in evolution, because Jesus didn’t craft a parable to illustrate it. The fact that he also didn’t preach about intolerance and bigotry doesn’t bother them. Nosiree, not one little bit. All they need is other folks spouting similar crap (especially a preacher), and voila! it is obviously so!

@P.P. # 17- Don’t forget this twits base of support is Colorado Springs as is the district he’s running to represent Colorado District 1, which is basically El Paso County, which is basically Colorado Springs the home of Ft. Carson the Blue zoo ( Air Dorce Academy) and Dobson’s Focus On the Family.( whose presence inthe Springs is so large their campus has its own zip code)It’s like Alabama or a little slice of Mississippi in the intermountain West.Colorado is also one of only two states, along with Washington that has approved the recreational use of Marijuana.Glenn’s win kind of reinforces my contention that
,besides a military school the very best training ground for grifters, and con artists of all stripes is likely a seminary school, and most likely a Southern Baptist seminary.
