Fun With Guns: “An Actual Gun” Edition

July 20, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Miami, Florida.  Get off my lawn!

On Wednesday, Florida resident Jorge Jove clearly couldn’t stomach the sight of an AT&T work truck parked out front of his house. Naturally, police say, he retrieved a revolver and started shooting out the tires and engine.

Seriously.  A very brave AT&T person filmed the whole thing as Jove pulled the trigger at least 18 times, reloading as he went.  There were two trucks and apparently they deserved it.

Lord, I love You Tube.

Some poor guy was stuck up in the basket.

I love the AT&T worker trying to explain to the 911 operator what is happening.

I’ll betcha this guy owns a Trump hat.

Thanks to Mark in Austin for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. rePUKEians…firm believers in free ownership and use of guns…but they do not allow them at their conferences because someone might shot them!!!

  2. If this had been a black guy doing this he would likely be dead now.

If it had been a Hispanic guy doing this it would be proof that we need a border wall and we absolutely must tear parents away from their children by deporting them.

If it had been a Arab or Persian (most U.S. viewers wouldn’t know the difference) then the travel ban must be expanded to all Muslims everywhere. Even if this guy happened to be a Christian.

But its a white guy so it is just considered to be a bit crazy but well within his 2nd amendment rights.

  3. As it was AT&T, I can almost say it was justified.
Which is why it is a very good thing that I do not pack heat.

    3
  4. One presumes AT&T has voided its contract with Mr Jove.

    4
  5. Keep hoping that the cops gave this Twinkie a breath-a-lyzer test at the very least. AT&T can always press charges. Would like to see if they did.

    5
  6. I’ve had bad service from AT&T in the past, but I usually just ask for a supervisor.

    6
  7. Yes, everybody in range of that nutcase, especially the guy filming, was very brave. It must have been horrible for the guy stuck up in the basket. I would have been vewy vewy quiet.

    7
  8. Surprised it wasn’t Comcast. Dang, Florida.

    8
  9. Wow true Freedumb!
Freedom to shoot whoever you damn well want.

This sh*t always happens in Florida. Always!

  11. @maggie

With all due respect, law enforcement only administers breath tests to suspected drunk drivers.

Please tell me they arrested this wacko. He could at least be charged with destruction of property and possibly endangering the welfare of utility worker or depraved indifference.
At the very least he should be committed to a psych ward for a
mental competency evaluation. My God, keep me out of Florida.

    12
  13. At least when he exited his home, with all of his wandering around, circling his victim trucks – – even in Florida he’d have a hard time claiming; Stand Your Ground.

When investigators search his home I wouldn’t be surprised if they find a garage full of balls and Frisbees belonging to neighborhood kids who inadvertently landed them near his lawn over the last 20 years.

    Alan @2,
Ummmm, about your second point on ‘Hispanic’, I’m pretty sure (99.7%) that with a nombre like “Jorge Jove” this chingada ‘pendejo loco is 100% ‘Hispanic’, not Anglo. And in Floriduh, likely of the Cuban sub-demo.
Jorge en Espanol = George en Anglais.
Jove, no se, “joven” is ‘young’, so may be a misprint.

  15. Maymoon says:

I am thinking that this wacko’s homeowners insurance is not paying this claim. Hope AT&T sends him a huge bill, tires are not cheap! I have had a Verizon truck in front of my driveway, I said I had a appointment in an hour and he nicely said sorry he will move. I said Thank you, not a tire was harmed at all.

    15
  16. It happened in Hialeah which traditionally is a large Cuban community.

    16
  17. sandridge@14: OK fair enough. But the guy is light skinned enough that as far as the the optics are concerned as the squad car rolls up he is white. Not like the totally terrifying Tamir Rice or something.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but crazy Jorge might have been quite a decent citizen in the past. A firefighter who has descended into some sort of mental illness that you now see and even in his rage he is obviously not trying to hurt anyone gun or not. I would not be upset for him to be handled in a humane way. What is upsetting is that not everybody is.

    17
  18. Sandridge says:

    BTW,
Those AT&T Ford F-350/450 (4WD/PTO too) work trucks all tricked out easily cost $150,000 each (probably even have a $10K genset in back).
BTW: Paid for with a biz tax credit: capital plant or expense items, depreciation, etc.

Riddling them with bullets is bad enough, but any of those bullets could have ricocheted out and hit somebody, or other people’s property. Let alone the probable fuel leaks or explosion. And shooting a tire (especially a truck tire) is totally reckless and stupid, a lead bullet can bounce off one of those suckers with ease.

This effen old coot needs the book thrown at him, lock him up until he croaks, the stupid mofo. Obviously a premeditated criminal act, since he had a pocketful of rounds to reload with.
And his submissive little wifey (you just know this) clearly had his shorts and shirt all washed and pressed so he looked Floriduh sharp.
Hell, he’s probably earned at least a comped weekend at Mar-A-‘Pendejo.

Alzheimer’s or not, lock him up! Alzheimers? Sure, you can tell because he forgot to put on his ‘see me Ima certified dues payin’ dumass’ MAGA hat in the hot sun.

(and y’all don’t need to turn this into a 2ndA thang, it’s an asshole Rethug thang. I’ve almost always been armed to the teeth, and sometimes felt like shooting up one of my own (broken) vehicles (not somebody else’s), but never did…but then I’m sorta rational, not batshitRWNJ insane.)

    18
  19. And…I must point out the lost, yet obvious consequence of his actions? The trucks will now be there LONGER as they cannot be removed until two tow trucks (i.e.: more noise/trucks/folks) arrive on his street to remove the now immovable flat tired/dead engine trucks! Fool.

    19
  20. Sandridge says:

Alan @17, “A firefighter who has descended into some sort of mental illness that you now see…”

Yeah, it’s called Trumpophrenia, starts with a genetic proclivity, metastasize’s with heavy FuxNooz/RWNJRadio irradiation into irredeemable self-inflicted insanity.
No known cure, highly contagious and infectious, prognosis dire; containment, confinement or euthanasia is the best practice treatment.

“handled in a humane way”, beg to disagree, should have been handled with “extreme prejudice”, IMO. The fool endangered everybody around there.

    20
  21. Micr, aw shucks! No drunk pedestrians or homeowners? No fun and no fair!

    21
  22. I hope AT&T bills him for the tires, the tows, the labor, the down time, the transportation of the grounded workers, and anything else they can think of. As well as the criminal charges and psych evaluation and taking his guns away because he doesn’t play right with his toys.

Yep, best way to get big trucks to move, especially if they’re blocking your driveway, is to shoot out the tires so they’ll be there a lot longer. Has this asshat ever heard of talking to people?

Though I am reminded of the time my work pickup was blocking something that was suddenly needed, and I walked out of the only one-room office where I could have been, to discover five guys pushing the truck with its parking brake on. I stood there, waited for them to finish, then got in and drove away. Talking can save a lot of effort, boys.

    22
  23. Let AT$T get hold of him and he’ll get a bill for the rest of his life. Predatory corporation.
Arrest this loser! When, where, what, how has this this become acceptable?

    23
  24. Texas Penal Code 22.05. Deadly Conduct.

Here’s hoping Floridah has a similar statute.
