Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
A comic so nice it was worth posting twice. 🙂
1Ray, one day I’m gonna learn how to use WordPress but it’s probably not gonna be today and, obviously, it wasn’t yesterday.
2Speaking of Ken Burn’s Jackie Robinson documentary, it was a revelation in terms of Robinson’s impact across the Civil Rights spectrum. Robinson and his wife endured an horrific barrage of hate, insults, death threats and the most blatant racial prejudice imaginable, but through his heroic endurance and talent, forced whites to begin to open their minds and hearts. His influence was not just in breaking the color bar in baseball, but throughout American society in the 1950’s and beyond.
3For Bill O’Reilly to even utter his name is blasphemy.
Amen, Maryelle!! Ken Burns always hits his documentaries out of the ballpark and his Jackie Robinson documentary was no exception!! I certainly learned things I did not know before!!
4It’s a shame that Jackie passed at only 53 years of age!! His wife is a beautiful, gracious lady!!
Wow! All those sesech states with LGBT bathroom laws must love shooting themselves in the foot and anywhere else on their anatomy! Oh, yeah! That’s right! They are also big gun right states!
5The plumbing problems in the permission to pee states rests solely with the snacilibupeR. Those state legislatures are far too concerned with our private plumbing. Guess that comes with the 19th century mindset, or maybe it’s just a pervangelist thing.
If they were truly concerned about safety, they’d make restrooms weapon free areas. For example, the SS agent who left behind a loaded weapon found by a child a few months back. Then the generic everyday stories about dropped weapons might concern more discerning folks. Or, how about what the Loathsome Ted Crooze said in a recent Town Hall about traveling alone with his two daughters? That should scare everyone.
6PKM, I’ll bet it scares his daughters. It just creeps me out to think of those 2 girls growing up with Oozy. Eeeeuwww.
“Republican Intervention” That’s hysterical !!!!!!
Friday Toons is one of my favorite parts of TWMDBS. Thank you Miz JJ.
