And The Rick’s Just Keep On A’Comin

March 05, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Rick Perry, the first and the loudest to criticize Hillary Clinton’s private email account, also used …. yep, a private email account.

It was discovered during a House Transparency Committee investigation of the turmoil at the University of Texas Board of Regents.

Joe Larsen, a First Amendment attorney, called it hypocritical for Perry to criticize Clinton for apparently skirting email disclosure when he was frequently criticized for doing the same as governor. Perry’s office took heat over the years for deleting emails every seven days, a period Gov. Greg Abbott extended to 30 days immediately when he took office in January.

Hey, his defense is that Hypocritical is his middle name.

  1. Um, I’ve been looking through the Master’s degree in psych eyesight I obtained 15 years ago or more and looking straight at pRick Perry I can only conclude that a strong mind is the only kind of mind capable of inflicting harm on itself. Rick is in the slot belonging to those who have such weak minds they are no danger to themselves.

Others, hey, that’s why God invented storm shelters.

Oh,lookee here-Palin done it,too still yet. The grifting gonads from Wasilla dare to criticize Hillary for what Palin herself did as Goobernor of Alaska. When Palin’s e-mails were finally released more than two years late, they were heavily redacted so no one could tell what was going on.

Frankly, I don’t see why they shouldn’t have private email accounts. They just oughta keep their traps shut about other folks’ private accounts. Most folks don’t talk about anything THAT interesting anyway. Do they? Unless they’re at JUANITA JEAN’S and it’s a well hidden secret, evil grin.

  9. Hilary was paranoid. But it’s not paranoia when they really are out to get ya.

Besides, her emails weren’t available to hacking and publishing. (I can’t remember the name of the guy now in Russia who did that.)

Found this on another blog this morning. Haven’t checked the accuracy, although I have no reason to doubt its veracity.

One other thing about Hillary, until her time as SOS, all of her predecessors used private accounts to conduct business. John Kerry was the first SOS who started using the US government email system. This coincided with a change in archiving instructions which took place AFTER Hillary stepped down. According to legal consultants, Hillary did nothing wrong under the rules at that time (unlike Palin who did violate the rules in Alaska), but it was enormously stupid. Whether it is unforgivably stupid to her supporters is yet to be determined.

She must have had good reason to use her own account, but it makes such great fodder for all the Hillary haters.

  12. Letter of the law or not. Is anyone in politics really ready for for prime time any more?

Just the current actors: Clintons didn’t ask why Glass-Steagall was implemented in first place. After “vast right wing Conspiracy”, and the two-fer attitude I expected HRC to pay attention to the news and facts. not leave herself open to predictably future inquiries. If the State Dept email servers were at risk then use your authority as SoS to fix the problem.
Bushes have a lot of skeletons in their closet, again most should have been fore seen, with their ambitions.

  13. Since when has the fact that they’ve done it themselves stopped the repugs from criticizing anything? Plus it looks thus far like what she did was perfectly legal at the time. Which doesn’t matter to the repugs either.

Basically they are throwing stuff at the wall to damage Clinton for next year’s election. They can’t improve their candidates so they resort to tearing down the opposition. Doesn’t make a whit of difference to me as I will not vote for HRC-too cuddly with Israel among other things. Warren or Sanders as write in candidates for me. I guess Bernie Sanders might be thinking of running for Potus.

  16. For any geeks who want to know how much they are screwing up with respect to state of Texas law when they delete those emails, I present to you the official Records Retention Schedule for the Office of the Governor: https://www.tsl.texas.gov/sites/default/files/public/tslac/slrm/state/schedules/301.PDF.
