The Wheels On The Bus Go …

April 07, 2022 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

… round and round, round and round. The Governor on the bus goes, “screw you all, screw you all.”

Texas Republican Governor is trying to be the cutest governor on the block.

Here’s his mean idea.

Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday that Texas will begin busing and flying migrants to Washington, D.C in response to the Biden administration’s plan to lift a Trump-era policy used to turn away more than a million asylum seekers at the border.

The move is intended to “help local officials whose communities are overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants,” Abbott said at a news conference.

Good Lord, what’s he trying to do? Get Texas kicked off the UN’s Human Rights Council?

Eastern European counties are welcoming Ukrainians with open arms.  And Texas is going to put parents and children on busses to Washington? That’s a 30 hour drive. Who is going to pay for that? And if he send them on an airplane, who is going to pay for that?

He’s just mean.

The so-called Trump immigration reform didn’t do diddle squat except for imprisoning people and separating them from their children (which Greg truly enjoyed watching).  Doing away with them won’t cause a difference either.

It’s election time. Abbott is only upping the levels of meanness of the Republican Party.

Has anybody checked recently to see if Abbott casts a reflection in a mirror?

A Butt’s proclamation made news around here, let me tell ya. A local reporter checked in with a group that helps immigrants/refugees in the neighborhood next to mine. That’s where the bulk of our Latinx population lives. After saying that they think this is campaign-year bluff aimed at the voters in Texas, they said they are geared up and ready to welcome however many immigrants your goobernor plops on our doorstep.

Considering how many Afghani refugees were processed in this area last summer and fall, a bunch of busloads would be a piece of cake.

I’m thinking like abbuttheads’s abortion vigilante law, many cities and states will welcome those he plays politics with.
I’m guessing the mirrors he looks at have beautiful fake pictures of him painted on them, otherwise they’d melt.
I read today that arizoona is planning to have their national guard and state police round up migrants (same as TX) and send them to wherever.

Charge A-Butt with human trafficking and crossing state lines to do it.

Will that include people from Cuba, who are arriving in the highest numbers since 1980? And getting preferential treatment as they have since 1959?

How do such small-minded people get into these positions of power?

I cannot remember who said it, many years ago, but if you think the people in office are stupid, you ought to see the people who elected them. …[When I say “stupid” I’m not necessarily talking about intelligence as measured by IQ]

They get into power because so many repugnanticans are very gullible shallow thinkers. They like their kind.

We should celebrate the senate voted to nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson to the SCOTUS 53-47, better than the votes for both Barrett and Kavanaugh.

  10. If you can fit your perceived problem on a bus, or a few buses, it’s probably not much of a problem. I think Abbott just specified the dimensions of his own pettiness.

Abbott supposedly graduated from law school and passed the bar, yet he doesn’t seem to understand the difference between asylum seeker and invader. Plus, all the Ukrainians will come in without a comment from him, but Central Americans won’t – I wonder what the obvious visual reason is for that?

Governor Abbott’s lack of feelings extends far beyond his legs.

  13. That just don't make no sense to Joe says:

This is irritating, ignorant and schtoopid. My thinking is that these immigrants will be detained under STATE law. If I remember correctly the only STATE law that is being broken is trespassing. Help me here, the taxpayers of Texas are going to pay for bus or plane tickets for people “charged” with trespassing. Does our Governot even think? Does he wash his hands after he “goes doody”?

Being deported from Texas is not necessarily a bad thing. And if it is free, it might be a blessing.
