Unrelated, but the Salon’s favorite lawyer deposed our least favorite billionaire, and it’s a delight to read. From the start Musk’s lawyer (Spiro) tries to block questions, and Mark Bankston slaps him down.

Apparently Spiro learned nothing from the thrashing that Alex Jones and his lawyer got. I suspect Mark B. is making a specialty of roasting the rich and powerful who don’t know when to shut up.
1Wow! Mrs. Bankston’s baby boy Mark is a very good lawyer. I can’t quite decide whether Elon Musk is higher than a kite, though, or just dumber than a box of rocks. Mr. Spiro doesn’t seem to be worth the money Elon’s likely to be paying him.
2Oh, I intended to comment on the cartoons, too, but hit “submit comment” before I intended to. I’m sadly appreciative of the first, with the line of women leaving Arizona, and got a chuckle out of the little girl talking to the elephant in the fancy hat. I agree–it makes the elephant look stupid.

I think the one with the couple walking in the woods is the one that gets me though. It’s artistry evokes (to me, at least) a sense of foreboding that is the best reason for the other toons.
The only thing I think I’d change is to tweak the dialogue a bit. Genuine stupidity is a good choice of words.
But my choice would be the natural progression of Willful Ignorance.

The Washington Post did an article yesterday about the predominantly small ‘true believers’ who are buying and holding a large proportion of the DJT stock, interviewing a number of them. They’re losing their asses.
It’s a really good read, and funny to think that there are so many utterly stupid MAGAots out there willing to invest everything they have in the world in a trash stock like DJT.
And they’re blaming the libtards and Biden for deliberately crashing their DJT stock!
Like I wrote days ago, this stock is behaving very weirdly [it should be nearly in the $5 range by now], and it’s apparent that it’s due to the fanatical buying pressure that these dupes keep putting on the DJT stock, even as it steadily craters in the reality of the market. Throwing every dollar they can scrape up into what is going to cost them their future.
