    Karma is delightful.

  2. Yuppers. This is the same guy who projected other stuff on the hotel before. His name is Robin Bell and he has become a national treasure. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

    2
  3. “Mud hut flats” and “pussy grabber convention” are suggested. The greatest hits are just piling up.

    3
  4. Shithole is an anagram for “his hotel”… Just sayin.

    4
  5. Why do the Democrats need billionaire funders? They have the creative people.

We just need to encourage them.

    Bless them.

  6. This is how to get back at 45.

He can’t handle public humiliation that can’t be “counter punched”.
This is exactly the kind of peaceful protest that we need: Use his own words to shame his *brand*!

  7. Crone is so right. Just read left vs right comments. One is clever repartee (with correct spelling and punctuation) and the other just a hollerin’ FU.

    7
  8. It won’t matter. The evangelicals and other staunch supporters will look the other way. As usual.

    8
  9. Okay. Meant that for the other post about Stormy Daniels. It’s getting so you can’t keep up with this stuff. More coffee!

    9
  10. # resist, when and where you can.

    10
  11. The most tasteless, gawdy and slum cheap constructed hotel around actually does have its uses. It makes a helluva good screen for projections! Good on you, Robin!

  12. Jane & PKM says:

Waiting … time for Dotard45 to aim another twitter at his foot. He’s not going to London because of course, Obama. There are now protests in Davos, so on whom will the old dolt blame his next schedule change? What the old orange foolius doesn’t seem to realize is that while he can send his surrogates to Gish Gallop and gas light the cable shows that’s not an effective tactic to avoid protests. But hey and wth, send Rex to Davos, Donnie. It’s not like the protest can’t spread to include the entire concept(s) of the Dotard45 maladministration. Maybe Rex will wear his t-shirt.

  13. Well, that made my day.

Sadly it’s a splendid building, the Old Post Office, with the highest tower on Pennsylvania Ave between the WH and Capitol, but now stained by Donnie’s [poop]. It will take some time after he’s left and sold it for the residual stench to dissipate and leave it a fine building once again.

@lazrgrl, you forgot the death threats. No rightwing reaction is complete without death threats.

    13
  14. That Other Jean says:

@ Rhea: Donnie doesn’t actually own that lovely building–he’s leasing it and making a profit from its use as a hotel, in defiance of a couple of emoluments clauses of the Constitution, but who’s going to call him on it? Someday soon (please, Mr. Mueller, make it soon), he will be gone, and someone else can make something worthy out of it.

  15. Tilphousia says:

The Old Post Office is a beautiful, well constructed building. What traitor trump did to it is beyond shameful. the furniture is a tasteless conglomeration of cheap Chinese furniture rendering the whole building an aura of cheesy bordello. Hopefully a new owner with taste and class will buy the lease and rescue the Old Post Office. And hopefully attract good restaurants, what trump has is a so so chain.

    15
  16. I loved the old Post Office. For a while, it was full of fun restaurants and artists could rent studios. As a member of the public, you could walk through the hallways and see what artists were working on. It was completely cool.

That’s obviously why someone bought it and gutted the place.

    16
  17. Additional messages were flashed onto the hotel. “Emoluments Welcome” and “Pay your bribes here” were two IIRC.
