Well, Damn, Then Shuddup, Ted Cruz.
You know how Ted Cruz wants to shut down the government over Planned Parenthood in the spending budget? Well, damn, there is not any Planned Parenthood spending in this budget approval.
But the bill Congress will likely pass — a short-term spending bill that funds the government through Dec. 11 — doesn’t include funding for Planned Parenthood to begin with, said Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., on Fox News Sunday Sept. 27. So Congress shouldn’t shut down the government over funding the women’s health organization.
So, Senator Cruz, chewed on that for a while, and used his Harvard education to come up with this doozy.
Those who want to defund Planned Parenthood by leveraging funding for the rest of the government have advocated for including language in the short-term spending bill that zeros out all funding — even if the funding isn’t accounted for in that particular bill.
And why would Cruz want to do that? Would it have anything to do with polls?
Poor cruz, he wants to make a blow for freedom against thin air.

In an NBC/WSJ poll on Sep 28, Planned Parenthood was 47% positive, 31% negative. The GOP was almost exactly the reverse of that (29% positive, 45% negative). Apparently they didn’t ask about Cruz specifically because he wasn’t worth asking about. (Trump was 25% positive, 58% negative).

So when WILL Planned Parenthood get its funding back? A lot of women and some men would like to know.
1I’m willing to bet that when Teddy was stalking the dorms in his silk paisley robe, he’d have been blessing PP when his crops fertilized. “Prayed for a crop failure” That is, if any self-respecting woman would have gotten close enough to him to have worried about it. (Doubtful, in my opinion)

9Grand-daughter was supposed to take a tour of Harvard this autumn but threw in the towel largely due to what she learned about some of their alums like Cruz. This is a kid who is a member of a national society for honor students and a straight A report card. She figures that if she has to deal with present and future idiots she can do all that for less money and a helluva lot closer to home! Smart kid!
10Welllll if ole Raphael does become a poster boy for effective birth control, that might be one public service to set against all the public dis-service he has done up til now.
11While normally not inclined to violence, when I look at the face of Ted Cruz it makes my hand just itch to slap him. What an ignorant, mean-spirited slime ball. Does he even have a clue about the truth or does he actually believe all of his daddy’s batcrap propaganda?
