Poisoned Minds

January 26, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Dr. Ben Carson claims to be a brain surgeon.  Personally, I think he’s a brain donor and didn’t keep enough for himself.

He is obsessed with gay people.  I mean, unnaturally obsessed.  He was speaking this weekend in Iowa and got all wacky about gay marriage.  He announced ….

Unknown“What I have a problem with is when people try to force people to act against their beliefs because they say, ‘they’re discriminating against me,'” Carson told reporters. “So they can go right down the street and buy a cake, but no, let’s bring a suit against this person because I want them to make my cake even though they don’t believe in it. Which is really not all that smart because they might put poison in that cake,” he added.

Okay, now let’s think about this.  Carson says his anti-gay position is about his Christianity.  Then he takes a deep breath and says Christians would poison people on purpose.

What the hell church has this belief?  If somebody doesn’t like what you’re doing, poison them.  That’s a helluva sacrament.

Carson also claims the left is intolerant because we don’t tolerate his religious beliefs.  Yeah, I also don’t tolerate the religious beliefs of Isis.

Be social and share!

I wonder if he ever heard of Jesus with his Kristin beliefs?

  2. Whenever you see someone obsessing about the gays, I will show you a closeted homosexual.

  3. So, by his reasoning, the whole civil rights movement was just a means of pissing off white folks who “believed” that the Bible told them the races should be separate. No, that’s not discrimination. Sure, Ben.

  4. Anyone remember when Ann Coulter proclaimed that “our” blacks are smarter than their (Democrat) blacks? That theory just went up in smoke…

  5. I think what he’s talking about is the homophobe who wanted a bakery to make a Bible-shaped cake and write “God hates gays” on it. The owner refused to do that (it was against HER beliefs), but did offer to make the cake and give him the icing and funnel to make whatever design he wanted. No, that wasn’t good enough, so he’s suing.

And no, this is not comparable to the baker who wouldn’t make a cake for a gay wedding, because in that case the baker refused to make ANY kind of cake for that event, no gay decor specified, although they would for a hetero wedding.

Also reminded of folksinger Cheryl Wheeler’s remark: “When I was a kid, we were just religious enough to love other people– we never got religious enough to hate other people.” (She is gay and married, and good for them. Look her up on YouTube; she writes good songs, serious ones and funny ones and even some political ones.)

  6. Interesting glimpse into how his mind works.

  7. I came by because of the cake. Somebody mention cake? Is there cake round here? I like cake.

ps: nice job on the smooth house-move, JJ.

  9. As much respect as I have for Godwin’s Law, I must point out that Carson’s “logic” would also apply to Nazis and Jews. I mean, who are the Jews to claim that the Nazis discriminated against them when the Nazis were only acting according to their beliefs? The Nazis did use poison, among other things.

  10. That Other Jean says:

I think I’ll just repeat here about what I said over on Joe.My.God. about this incident.

Clearly, whatever part of his brain governed his tongue has quit working since Ben Carson retired. I can’t help but suspect some sort of dementia. Lucky for us, though, the more he comes out with stuff like this, the less likely even the right-wing nut jobs are going to be able to support his bid for the Presidency. Keep talking, Ben.

  11. I don’t know if accusing the anti-gay crowd of being closeted gays is true but it makes them really angry, so let’s keep doing it and hoping their blood pressure works in our favor.

  12. We should all be vewy vewy quiet so Dr. Ben Carson can speak his mind. And snag that GOP Presidential nomination. Or not. I refuse to interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.

  14. Carson must have studied with Sarah Palin’s English tutor, since his sentence structure seems also to have disappeared.

  15. After over 40 years within spittin’ distance of the Great Sausage Factory on the Hill, it is my estimation that doctors make the worst legislators and politicians. They just never get the memo. Cuz likely they don’t know what a memo looks like and when it does arrive it just whizzes right by them before they can blink. At least it was that way with Frist of Humana fame. Coburn always impressed me as to damn “big” to read a memo.

    and he looks so nice.

  17. Marcia in CO says:

@Maryelle … I was thinking the same thing … Carson & Palin … they took eloqution classes with Dumbo Dubya ’cause none of them can speak the American English nor can they make a sensible comment. They all speak gibberish!!

  18. I wonder if he ever asked a patient about their sexual orientation and refused to do the surgery if he/she admitted being gay?

    18
  19. In the GOP, even the brain surgeons are morons.

  23. Does this man look in the mirror and think he’s WHITE? Following his “logic” his people would still be in chains working on plantations! Because those good Christian slaveholders were equally fervent in their beliefs and even used the “Good Book” to justify it.

Sometimes I think stupid just can’t keep its mouth shut.
