Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper issued a stern warning Sunday about the state of the US government after President Donald Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey last week, saying he thinks US institutions are “under assault.”
“I think in many ways our institutions are under assault both externally — and that’s the big news here is the Russian interference in our election system — and I think as well our institutions are under assault internally,” Clapper said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Pressed by anchor Jake Tapper if he meant US institutions were under assault internally from the President, Clapper responded, “Exactly.”

If voters are paying attention, the inaction of Congress to perform the appropriate checks and balances on the Old Cooter-in-Thief should totally unravel them in 2018. Donnie, with his first one hundred days in office and 100+ crimes, little or no action of significance by Congress. Compare that to 10, 12 or 15 Benghazi investigations and 50 plus attempts to repeal the ACA.

OH boy! Another one CJ will call a grandstander and a showboat! Also saw Robert Gates on the teevee this AM. He was being very tactful and diplomatic about CJ and the whole ball of wax but i was very interested in his hands. When he wanted to make a point about anything CJ, his hands looked as if they were about to close around something circular, like a neck!

According to a Quinnipiac University poll last week, Trump’s approval is down to 36% – 58% disapprove. Americans polled want Dems to win back the House by 54% – 38%.

6Hopefully, clapper won’t ‘disappear’. Traitor trump is a huge threat to democracy and must be impeached, and imprisoned for the remainder of his miserable life. And this quisling republicans like McConnell and Ryan and their ilk should join him!
