NOBODY in Texas Wants Obamacare – Updated

March 30, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Update:  Well, lookie here.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), the No. 4 Republican in the Senate, on Sunday accused the Obama administration of inflating the statistics on health care sign-ups through the exchanges established under Obamacare.

And President Obama made people to stand in those lines.

Did you see Ted Cruz.s Facebook poll on ACA?

Great news for the people who finally are insured and even better for Democratic candidates who can point to the wisdom of this law.

This just makes me all teary-eyed and blubbery. I’ve spent the best years of my career trying to find health care options for people without insurance. We finally got most of the kids covered — 96% and it took more than 5 years — but there were very few options for desperate adults. Unless they were pregnant or very very poor mother, they went without — often in pain and with serious and chronic illnesses, treatable, sometimes deadly.

No more. Ever again. You got options, man. Gold-plated, silver-plated options at a price you can afford.

Y’all can thank Predator pRick Perry for those long lines. Had he accepted the medicare expansion and set up a Texas website for the ACA, thousands would already be enrolled in Texas.

The ACA is rolling smooth in the states whose governors just happened to be Democrats. The red states with black blocking Christofascist governors, not doing so well. Remember that in November. Out with the thugs and go Blue Texas with Wendy Davis! Affordable health care for all!

Looks like good footage for political ads with the theme: “If you’re not a millionaire, the Republicans despise you.”

    Which one is Anita Perry?

It is so gratifying to see Mr. Bomb Thrower (aka Pants on Fire) get a smack down. I have been waiting for something like this since the snake oil salesman first showed his creepy face in Texas. I know that gloating is frowned on for genteel Southern ladies, but I resigned from that group many, many decades ago and have been called many names (none complimentary) because of being a bleeding heart liberal Thanks for letting me celebrate on your site, which I love!!!!

  10. People, let us own the success of Obamacare and Obamacare itself! When Rethugs claim its not perfect, don’t respond with well what the hell is there that is actually totally perfect? Let them know that its working!!!! And we own that working!

When they yell that they are going to eliminate Obamacare , remind them that will only create Medicare for everyone, young and old!!!

WOWEE ZOWEE! Hurray! as they would say in beautiful downtown Chert, Texas. Population 333. (from THE SECRET BUZZARD SOCIETY). Arriving soon on Amazon. Or somewhere. Keep your eyes open.

  13. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Monty, what I can’t figure out are the GOP voters. Except for Adelson, the Koch brothers and the other 1%s who benefit from the GOP, Republicans offer nothing to the rest of us.

Exactly right, maggie. Take away our Obamacare and we’ll be out with pitchforks demanding universal medicare. Universal single payer works for everyone and is the most cost effective delivery system.

*Note to insurance company. Will you quit discriminating against my wife’s ovaries, if I get a vasectomy? Sheesh, you’d think she could impregnate herself. A little credit here, please.

  14. @Ralph: I’ve read the article you linked to – awesome. But can anyone tell me where the responses came from? I can’t find them on Cruz’ facebook, either “Ted Cruz” or “Ted Cruz 2016.” Did he take it down?
And BTW, on the “2016” site there’s a visual of the 2016 “Dream Team” that looks like a recipe for the end of all times!
    Check it out!

    14
  15. Now if we could just get all those people to vote.

    15
  16. Paula Denmon says:

Ted Cruz does not allow contradictory comments. His ” Public “meetings are screened. I’m certain he took it down saying that the question was misunderstood. He sincerely believes that he is the OBAMA on the right and will come from nowhere to be t h e nominee. Just let HILLARY AT HIM. GOOD SHOW

    16
  17. Don’cha just love how conservatives live in their own twisted fantasy world and think they’re the only ones who understand reality?

    17
  18. Paul Krugman recommends looking at the data Charles Gaba puts out on http://acasignups.net/. Apparently it’s getting close to 7 million signups, despite the news reports.

But I find myself thinking that, especially with Texas refusing to expand Medicaid (and leaving all those federal dollars on the table), that Texas will still have the highest percentage of uninsured people in the country.

    18
  19. Marge Wood says:

I have it! How to get folks to vote: offer FREE PIZZA AND NICKLE BEER.

    19
  20. And unlike a certain church in Kentucky, ACA sign-up sites didn’t even have to offer free guns.

    20
  21. @Jan,
I read yesterday that Cruz’ survey was taken down. One person said that the negative comments were getting many ‘likes’. Evidently the teddieboy followers were watching but not saying much.
