Republican state lawmakers in Oklahoma have introduced a resolution urging the state’s congressional delegation to start an effort to impeach President Barack Obama over a White House recommendation that schools accommodate transgender students.
The Oklahoma resolution, introduced on Thursday night, calls on the state’s members of the U.S. House of Representatives to file articles of impeachment against Obama, the U.S. attorney general, the U.S. secretary of education and others over the policy.
Look, why don’t you guys just stand on the Arkansas border and holler, “Screw You!” toward DeeCee and then go home and burn down your barn to show you mean business. That would be just about as effective, y’all will feel a whole lot better, and you wouldn’t look like such damn fools.

It seems to me that the book of Proverbs has something about the silence of the Wise and a Fool not knowing when to shut his yap. Let’s see. I think it’s pretty clear where the Arkansas lege fits in.

3Funny how the right-wingers go on and on about “wasting the taxpayers’ money” when it’s a matter of doing something concrete for people (medical care, housing, food, emergency services) but are perfectly happy to waste that money on suing the feds, trying to impeach Presidents, etc.
Just like our TX GOP is happy to refuse billions of dollars that would help fund Texas schools and medical care for Texans, because of Obama (first on one issue, then another. Basically, they want federal-taxpayer money to use any way they want to, which means handouts to their buddies.)

10I’m surprised it took this long. They’ve been wanting to impeach him since Day One. They want to impeach Hillary Clinton and she isn’t even sworn in yet.
11I continue to wonder about the education being provided to these ignorant adult children in states like Oklahoma–really? This newest bathroom buzz, a manufactured problem that does not exist, is the newest wedge issue the GOP is using to drive the True Believers into a frenzy–new policy? Title 9 has been law for a very long time (non discrimination pertaining to education)–the so called Obama directive was merely an explanation of what the law says and clarification for those too ignorant to figure it out–sounds like the entire Oklahoma state legislature fits the ignorant description bill–hope voters will not be fearful about bathrooms when it comes time to vote, but instead be afraid of those politicians who use the bathroom buzz to attract them to the polls in November–Another state I will not spend a dime in–the list is getting longer.
12Rhea – the rethugs had an impeachment committee all set up the moment Obama was elected. They will do the same thing with Hillary. They crept back to their offices the day they lost the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Believe me, they will definitely be much more committed to extraordinary mean-ness with Hillary. Basically, they are monarchists and their closest cousins were the aristocrats eliminated in the French Revolution.
13Having known some amazingly brilliant folks from Oklahoma, I feel the need to defend them. Albeit, the best defense I can offer is how those “brilliant” folks were so capable of doing such amazingly dumb things.

Just proves I am not brilliant, first I moved here, then I failed to see the light. I moved here when okies were still brown bagging their liquor to the bar, I sure missed that clue.
Obama should call the Oklahoma legislative delegation, tell them he wants to leave office, so please, go right ahead and impeach him. The motion then won’t make it out of committee, if it’s something they think Obama wants. Besides, at the rate Republican representatives move, they couldn’t get it half finished before Hillary is sworn in January 2017.

I understand your point. I know/knew personally 3 of the 5 male members of the class of 1961 at Muleshoe Texas High School. All three were or are brilliant. A PhD in Maths holder working for a Fortune 500 company in Dallas, a successful entrepreneur in Las Vegas, and a people manager in Fort Worth. But as you can guess I came to know each of them FAR away from Muleshoe.
