Does anybody have any bets how long it’s going to take the Republican Party to shake the Trump image? And one more thing before I forget. Is there anything in this world more damn pathetic than Mike Pense. Hell, y’all, I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

1Reminds me of all those Brits who voted for Brexit (BRitish EXIT from the European Union) and then wanted to take their votes back because, y’know, that was just a protest vote and they didn’t think it was really gonna *happen*….

3Observations from a Deep Blue State:
I was driving down the street in Hawaii yesterday and thought I saw a Trump Pence sign. I looked closer, and it really read Trump Fence. The homeowner had built the world’s crummiest, worthless looking fence across their front yard!
4Pence is just Trump, but with better manners.
5Soft spoken Pence is part of the “shovel brigade”. I’m unimpressed with his congressional background and governorship. A “right to work state” and conservative dogma is repulsive to me as a worker advocate. I worked for 3 governors so my comparison has some merit.
6Pence had nothing to lose. He’s history in Indiana, and couldn’t get re-elected if he gave away free pork chops. His choice was to fade away, like Dan Quayle, or go big.
7@JAKvirginia – No doubt it was a typo, but I’m pretty sure that JJ was trying to type “Pense” while (naturally) thinking “Dense”, so it’s pretty understandable… Freudian typos – it’s a think (as Freud might have pronounced it).

Depends. If he just goes back to reality TV and branding deals, five minutes. But if he starts a news organization to the right of Fox, maybe with the help of Ailes and Bannon…

Al least Pence hasn’t set himself up as well as Mitch. Appointing all those people to the board of Purdue and then … Surprise!…. they hire him to run the place!! Trump is polling at 11% AHEAD

17two crows, the saddest part of your comment is that the mainstream wing of the Democratic party already IS a conservative party. Mainstream Democrats today are about as progressive as Reagan Republicans were in 1980. Bernie, who I admire and sent money to, is about as socialist as the Tories in England.
