I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
They are all so en point, but re the “Hispanic outreach” , they’d better get their act together with African Americans cause none of their Repugnant leaders will be attending the Selma March commemoration. Outreach, my medium-size (lost 20 lbs.) blue butt! We all know they’re racists. Nice of them to prove it once again.
1Re. Netanyahu apparently does not understand and perhaps does not remember MAD. The US and the USSR faced off for years because of that term, mutually assured destruction. The Repukes fail to understand that Pres Obama is NOT A YAHOO.
2And Israel won’t officially acknowledge how many nukes they claim they don’t have,but everyone knows they do have. Everyone in the Middle East needs as many as Israel has and then maybe they get negotiating in good faith. I’d sooner trust Iran with a nuke than Israel.
If Israel wasn’t sure they could defend themselves they wouldn’t be the bullies of their part of the world.
Saddam Hussein ignored 13 or 14 UN resolutions before neocons had to have a war. Israel has ignored hundreds of resolutions and we have yet to invade them. What gives?
3I have to quibble a bit epo. Israel is not dedicated to the proposition of eliminating Arab nations, while some of their neighbors have pledged to the goal of wiping Israel from the face of the earth. Makes a difference. I’m not sure what I’d do if people on the land next to me wanted nothing more than to end my existence.
On the other hand, I detest Netanyahu. He is a war monger along the lines of American neocons. His settlement approval is a clear provocation as is his reprehensible treatment of the Palestinians.
I can’t get too self-righteous about why the Israelis elect that scumbag. America let GWB be president for 8 years. Scumbag for scumbag.
4Netanyahu was one of the neo-cons who advised going to war with Iraq in order to oust Hussein. Netanyahu claimed this would be a good thing. “I guarantee you that [removing Saddam Hussein] will have enormous positive reverberations on the region,” he said.
In fact Hussein was the main opponent of Iran in the region, so removing him allowed Iran to expand its interests, especially in Iraq.
Now Netanyahu wants the U.S. to go to war with Iran. He claims it would be beneficial to the region. In fact Iran is the main opponent of ISIL in the region. Weakening Iran would help ISIL.
Neo-cons seem to have no common sense at all. And they never, ever learn from their mistakes.
