Friday Ponderings

December 08, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The first thing I ought to mention is the Pew Poll that shows Trump is losing support in every category there is.  College grads – down. White people – down.  Hispanic gay females with physical handicaps and live in rural areas – way the hell down.

See the bigger one here.

And you can see all the Pew data right here.

And the Quinnipiac polling is here.

A new Quinnipiac poll finds 70% of Americans believe the U.S. Congress should investigate allegations of sexual harassment against President Trump, while 25% say he should not be investigated.

Well, there ya go.

Be social and share!

  1. If perverts/child abusers, and sexual harassers (of all genders) had their own categories in these polls, Trump would probably be way-up in those categories.

I assume he is not doing so well among illegal teenage Mexican welfare mothers on drugs….

    1
  2. Who the frack are the 3% of liberals still supporting him? Is that a joke answer? But it’s nice to see him falling in every single category.

And I do like the 70% wanting him investigated for sexual abuse. If Franken has to resign, so does Trump. Someone wrote a column saying Why do Dems have to resign over this when GOPs don’t? To show we’re more decent than they are. Yeah, that and $4 will get you a cup of coffee.

  4. Investigate.
If it’s televised, call it the Apprentice President.
When it’s all over, hopefully we can lean out our windows and shout “You’re Fired! And we don’t have to take it anymore!”

  5. Jane & PKM says:

As st00pid as the Donnie voters should feel, it’s doubtful they can feel dumber than old Susu Collins of Maine. She finally woke up this morning to discover that she had been trick rolled by McTurdle and Lyin’ Ryan. And no, they didn’t respect her in the morning.

That’s what Dubya said, “fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”

  6. Will Trump ever pay the piper? Well, granny always said, a rising tide lifts all boats. My bet is that he resigns before his boat would leave without him.

    6
  7. Nobody has asked me, but my approval of the Abominable Showman was less than zero before he was elected. I don’t think one can go lower than that.

    7
  8. I’m thinking about how some people said women should have kept quiet about Al Franken because he was doing really good things in the Senate. He was.

How many times have women been told to keep their mouths shut and endure for some “greater good?” For the children . . . the business . . . her spouse . . . the political party . . . the team . . . the home . . . the hometown . . or something or someone more important than she is.

Done. I am done with that. No more coming in second. That time needs to be done.

I’m glad those women spoke up about Al Franken and that he resigned. Those particular women, what they stood up for, their courage and all the millions of women and girls they have inspired are more important than Al Franken and the Democratic Party. They’re also more important than my disappointment as a former enthusiastic Franken supporter.

  9. All the holier-than-thou Frankenbashers need to come up for air occasionally. You just dumped a very good congressman for essentially … nothing. What was gained?

    9
  10. Oh, Ormond Otvos, have you not been listening to people like Debbo? I, too, thought highly of Al Franken until all the women came forward. He saw himself as an “Entitled Man”, forcing himself on “Weak Woman” with impunity and would have continued doing so unless held to account.
For some men it takes huge consequences for them to wake up to the fact that women have the right to control their own bodies, free from unwanted sexual contact. Some men never do.
Comparing himself to Trump and Moore, shows he still believes he had a right to do what he did, even though it wasn’t as bad as those two. IT”S ALL BAD.

  11. Mary in San Antonio says:

Maryelle, I have to agree with Ormond Otvos on this. All we have heard on Franken have been allegations. At least two of those accusing him are Trump supporters. Tweeden’s claim, in particular, reeks of rightwing chicanery. Why did Roger Stone tweet about it hours before she released her statement? And if the photo, where you can see he was not touching her, so offended her, why did she wait 11 years to be offended? The second one had a wide smile on her face in the photo. If Franken grabbed her azz, where is the shock and revulsion? The whole Franken thing reeks of a setup and Gillibrand and cohorts didn’t even wait for an ethics investigation. I feel they made a huge mistake in insisting Franken resign.

  12. Lunargent says:

I think that Franken got a raw deal, and people overreacted. But then again, I wasn’t there when the incidents with these women occurred; none of us were.

I also felt that his outstanding legislative record in support of women was a mitigating factor. But I respect the position of people who disagree with that.

Just always remember this, because we forget it at our peril.
    Democrats will screw women individually.
Republicans screw women as a class.

    12
  13. Franken could have demanded an Ethics investigation, but he did not. Had he been guiltless, he certainly should have. His decision not to speaks volumes.
