Pisses Me Off

Okay, so I have a real problem with all these people who let Trump act like a banana chomping dictator who put three generational-lasting tools on the Supreme Court while they knew full well that Trump was insane and wanted to get us all killed.

And the first time they open their mouths about it is when they think they could make a damn dime off writing a book.  The towers of whiney little self-important twits started with Bob Woodward and then the latest – and there’s bunches in between – is Mark Esper.

Esper’s tell all for some dollars book could make your spine replace an ice machine with Trump’s ideas of smart use for the military, all of which are unconstitutional. You know what ought to be unconstitutional? Covering for a president who wants to shoot protestors or bomb Mexico.

Why the fool tarnation didn’t you guys tell us this stuff while he was president?  Oh, they come up with a collective conditioning rinse of “I would get fired and the person after me could be worse.” No, you are worse. You. You are the bottom of the barrel of worse. You should be fired. And maybe shot.

Trump’s answer to Esper?

“Mark Esper was weak and totally ineffective, and because of it, I had to run the military. I took out ISIS, Qasem Soleimani, al-Baghdadi, rebuilt the military with $2.5 trillion, created Space Force, and so much more.”

Looking at the level of courage Esper had, Trump might be right. I dunno.

I’m sick of all of them. And I’m not even counting the guys who knew damn well that Trump was going to try to overthrow the government with violence. Oh, there’s a special place in hell for those guys.

Okay, I’ll try to calm down.

Or maybe not.

Sorry to hear that you’re about to blow a gasket — as if the heat were not enough. And I thought I was frustrated. All I’m doing is trying to assemble a greenhouse from a kit where the instructions were passably translated from the German but the parts list wasn’t. Haltewinkel. Sounds like an anti-viagra device.

Agree, agree, agree. Add to that list of cowards for big bucks, a large majority of R congresscritters and other high level repugnanticans in state offices that continue to support, kiss his ass and try to get a trumpf redo in the White House, even after all we know about his first regime. This is a sick democracy. Saw the CBS Eric Holder interview this morning and he said as much.

  3. Steve from Beaverton says:

Oh and all these administration cowards say they needed to stay in position to keep trumpf from carrying out all the crazy things in his head (except his attempted insurrection I guess). That makes it ok? No, they enabled him.

  4. Don’t care so much about Woodward, it’s the ones who should have been implementing the 25th Amendment in real time and working to get him impeached that really get my blood boiling.

I think the 1/6 Commission hearings are going to be a blockbuster.

In the meantime, I love the small of Righteous Indignation. It smells like . . . Victory!

Does anyone have any numbers, data, stats, facts, whatever, indicating how much the wealthy influence the politics of today compared to certain periods since the Civil War; eg, political parties in the White House? Essentially the true hidden power?
About the only egalitarian wealthy person coming to mind is George Sorus as he tried to help individual people from different countries with his college in Hungary until Viktor Orban pushed him out.

political scientists only “noticed” in the past decade that the wealthy have a disproportionate impact on policy-making. so no, there is probably not anything widely published comparing today to 160 years ago on that topic.

but considering that the wealth gap (among non-slaves) is exponentially larger now than it was then, even if the effect of wealth is the same, the impact would be much greater today.

  8. Mark Esper is a coward, traitor, and Trump-enabling tool.

  9. I seriously don’t know how we survived 4 years of vengeful, sadistic, malignant narcissistic insanity. I thought for sure dumbass would bomb San Francisco to revenge Pelosi’s hilarious clapping.
The only reason I think we survived is he’s so freakin dumb. But don’t you ever, EVER call him ‘stupid’. So just call him stupid sh*t for short.

“‘They no longer call me stupid’: Trump continues to brag about passing his 10-minute dementia test”

Let’s not forget the citizens united scotus ruling that allowed wealthy corporations (and others) to influence elections and in essence, our politics, politicians and policy.

The cliff hanger is in the title.
Did he acknowledge and observe his oath?
    Or cower from it?

Probably can find the answer on the dust jacket.

Good reminder as we are being lowered into the grave! The 3 previous nails in our fragile Democracy coffin are the disastrous and destructive Republican repeal of the Fairness Doctrine, dismantling our Voting Rights Act and Citizens United Ruling.

DonA #1 – hope you found the part your haltewinkel goes to in the greenhouse kit.

As for His Orangeness, don’t know where he is on the Stoopidity Scale (having never administered the MoCA to him), but pretty sure my assessment would be that he’s Dumber Than a Sack of Rocks.

The thing is, I’m not sure anyone is outraged outside our friendly little echo chamber here in the Salon. We’re in early voting for the primary here and I’ve never seen such low turnout. I hope this doesn’t mean folks have just given up!

    “Haltewinkel” means bracket. Good luck.

  16. Esper was on the TV this afternoon trying to explain how he lasted so long as part of the Trump circus before getting fired. No where was he able to answer the question: why did you agree to work for this psychpath in the first place. Save your money. The book is not that good.
