I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

1Re the “citizenship test” cartoon, one upsetting part is that the R people in power now seem to see the panel on the left side of this cartoon as the America they prefer.

3I dunno, my vote is with the teacher.
4Me too, Grandma Ada. Having spent over 30 years in the teaching profession, I found that classroom materials were in short supply. Paper, pencils, markers, folders, and tissues were not the only things we paid for, but cleaning supplies like disinfecting wipes, swiffer mops and hand sanitizer. This was well before the pandemic. Unfortunately, the custodial staff was not motivated to wet mop floors or wash down desks. We had many children with severe allergies whose parents demanded this be done daily, so we teachers provided the supplies and the labor. We did this willingly because it was for the good of our students, but when contract time came around and the school board froze our salaries for 3 years, it hurt, financially and with morale. That’s why teacher’s unions are so necessary.

When he is removed from the White House in January, 2021, grasped by the scruff of the neck and dragged kicking & screaming and flung down the steps into the awaiting arms of arresting authorities, I do hope PPE’s are worn by all who are tasked with his eviction.
