Gun Nuts, Phony News, and Weirdo Conspiracy Theories
This week the gun culture, the proliferation of phony news, and weird conspiracy theories all collided in a pizza joint in Washington, DC, when a convicted criminal showed up with THREE firearms to “self-investigate” an idiotic story that Hillary Clinton was running a child sex ring out of a non-existent basement under the pizza joint. Oh, and one more thing – Cheeto Jesus and his merry band of weirdos constantly repost this manure. It’s a cancer on our society. Mike Flynn’s son was fired from the transition, but what about his father and Bannon himself? Breitbart is a sewer of lies, misogyny, racism, and these weird conspiracy theories.
In the End, It’s All About the Candidate
People who are thoughtful are (or should be) facing the inauguration of Cheeto Jesus (CJ) with fear and trepidation. So far, he has seemed impervious to any rules of decorum or morals, and has publicly announced that rules don’t apply to him. He tweets like a hormonal 14 year old embarrassing the nation with every insulting screed. This administration is already promising to be one that lurches from crisis to crisis, likely 100% self inflicted by the only person that I can imagine would be a worse president since Bush II who’s record I thought couldn’t be surpassed for cheesiness and corruption.
New Treasury Secretary- No Treasury or Government Experience
Our new treasury secretary is Steve Mnuchin of Goldman Sachs and X Men fame. He has no monetary, treasury, or government experience, so is only slightly more qualified than who I thought was the leading candidate, Bernie Madoff.
How Actual Tyranny Begins
For 8 years we’ve heard screwballs, fueled by weird conspiracy theorists, rail about “tyranny” from the Obama administration. That “tyranny” was going to come in the form of gun confiscation, US Army invasion of Texas, and “false flag” mass shootings performed by actors. The “tyranny” also came in the form of the federal government not permitting social warriors to persecute people different from them. There were a lot more idiotic assertions, but you get the idea. None of those predictions came to pass, of course, but that didn’t stop the onslaught on BS pouring out of dozens of extremist websites and talking heads.
