Yeah, That’s The Solution

March 03, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Y’all, I had to read this twice to see if I was reading what I thought I was reading.

Advisers to President Donald Trump are urging him to purge the government of former President Barack Obama’s political appointees and quickly install more people who are loyal to him, amid a cascade of damaging stories that have put his nascent administration in seemingly constant crisis-control mode.

A number of his advisers believe Obama officials are behind the leaks and are seeking to undermine his presidency, with just the latest example coming from reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice last year with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. and apparently misled senators about the interactions during his confirmation hearing.

This really bright idea is brought to you by The Drudge Report and Newt Gingrich.

Goodness sake – they are calling for the Kill the Messenger form of honest government. If you’re lying, cheating, and stealing, the way to fix it is to fire the people talking about it.

And the latest that Trump is trying to push is that we’re all just filled to the brim with “anti-Russian hysteria.”  We don’t like our attorney general lying to congress only because we don’t like Russia.

Living in the whacky lane.

What does Newt recommend Donnie do next to bury the truth? Deport the late night comics? Colbert nails the truth, Sessions and Donnie in one monologue. Every thing we need to know about Mikey Pence is covered by Samantha Bee. Comedy, the truth and Comey cannot get around it.

The Trump administration could, of course, stop hiring liars and cheats and morons, and just rely on the one they’ve already got in the White House; but there would be next to nobody left to run the country. Actually, if they fire all the Obama holdovers, there WILL be nobody left to run the country.

In addition to deporting late-night comics, they’d have to get rid of Rachel Maddow, to whom people send documents that would otherwise never see the light of day. She also did a number on Jeff Sessions last night. Comedians and genuine journalists–speakers of truth in politics and the bane of this “administration.”

Remember when they blamed everything on Obama? Even when he’s gone, it’s all his fault for hiring honest people with integrity.

  5. What Obama appointees?

As a former Clinton Appointee, I know that everyone is expected to submit their resignation and vacate their position by Jan. 20th so the new administration can fill these positions. Refer trolls to the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution for guidance.

That’s what Pres. Obama did too:

Trump could always hire Halderman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean. Plug the leaks and deny everything.

That worked out so well for Nixon.

  7. Elise Von Holten says:

I saw a post on Facebook (didn’t mark it-sigh-) that said Trumps computer pad was unsecured, just like his tweet phone, and that that was the source of all the leaks.
That sounds close to the truth for me…

Elise, if you saw it on Facebook, it must be true.

The federal government continues to be woefully understaffed, with several hundred Senate-confirmable jobs sitting empty, not because they haven’t been confirmed, but because they haven’t even been nominated.

Add to this the Administration jobs that were indeed vacated on January 20th, including most of the diplomatic corps, and the Executive branch looks like a junior high on 8th-grade ditch day.

If you now start kicking out the semi-permanent class of careerists simply because they took those desks sometime after 2009, then you’ll be left with a government that can’t function, even if they had clear and direct instructions from the West Wing, which they don’t.

The world has been very quiet since the spate of missile launches and Russian provocations a couple of weeks ago. Career US diplomats abroad are still operating under Obama Admin instructions because they HAVE no new instructions from Dis Guy’s Administration.

Foreign countries have no idea which way to move because they also have no idea what the position of the United States is now under Dis Guy.

It is only a matter of time until governments start making tentative plays knowing that the internal focus of this blundering manbaby’s government has left a massive international power vacuum.

In the meantime, in 12 days the debt ceiling kicks back in. Mnuchin has already said that they will go to extraordianry measures, meaning no deal is in the offing to raise the cap that will be imposed at around $20B. That will buy us 4-5 months at most, at which time Trump will have bankrupted the biggest employer in the world.

NONE of this can be addressed by a government purged.

Call this what it is, Saturday Night Massacre 3.0. 1.0, Nixon firing the Watergate prosecutor, 2.0 Bush firing US attorneys.

If this happens, there will be howls and screams for heads to roll, starting with his, and it won’t end when he’s gone. It will continue as long as necessary to root out all the shenanigans and all the miscreants.

So does that make the bullies on the newly transformed federal government junior high school playground, tattle tales or finks?

    11
  12. charles phillips says:

He might want to consider one of his own. Pence maybe, or Prebuis. That many leaks is not possible from the few remaining Obama appointees. Not from so many directions, at least. Maybe career people, but not likely Obama people.

Who has the most to gain? Frankly, Pence.

  14. How do these tools think this is going to happen when their “Dear Leader” is already too lazy to nominate officials to fill over 500 empty positions in our government and has admitted he’s not really interested in filling them? It’s always someone else’s fault when their plans go awry. Rather than admit that Trump & Company are inept liars and seditious, maybe treasonous, tools, they’re blaming it on the idea that PBO left “plants” in the federal government who are bent on making Trump look bad. They seem to forget that some Republicans opposed Trump becoming POTUS, too. Few Americans seem to know that the information about the communications that took place between Trump & Co. before he was POTUS were first revealed, not by an American, but by a former member of MI6. Trump called the guy a “fake intelligence officer” a couple weeks ago, but he’s not. The MI6 guy had worked with American intelligence agencies before the Talking Yam entered office, and the FBI found his information so credible that the agency tried to hire him for the purpose of gathering additional information about Trump & Co.’s ties to Russia. These deplorables’ main goal is to spread info among the base that Trump’s problems are the result of some “Democrat” plant(s.) Trump has already stated that PBO is orchestrating a ‘shadow government’ meant to bring his administration down. PBO doesn’t have to do anything to make Trump fail because Trump & Co. are doing that job themselves. This move by Drudge and others on the right is meant to end all discussion about T&Co.’s undermining of our government.

  16. Tonight on Rachel’s show, she talked about Dmitry Rybolovlev, a wealthy Russian, who purchased a Palm Beach mansion from Trump in 2008. Apparently Trump swears he has never met Rybolovlev; however, someone is tracking plane flights, and the Russian’s 100 million dollar airplane has shown up several times at places as Trump’s when Trump was campaigning. No wonder Trump wants to maintain his own security force.

    16

  18. Saw a talking head show on an MSNBC channel yesterday who had on a Republican woman, young, educated, African American who was doing a real number on Trump and his behavior. Sometimes we forget that there are huge numbers of Rs who did not want Trump as Prez. She brought up a good point. CJ spent a good part of his younger years as an emerging a$$hole under the tutelage of Roy Cohn. Real Rs apparently hate Cohn and have much the same feeling for anyone who befriended him. This young woman’s point was that CJ is copying the way Cohn operated with lies, more lies, threats, more threats and so on. Hence the White House **ap about the Russian ties, the wire tapping, Obama’s behind all this, etc. Cohn died of an illness but his “spirit” obviously carries on in his protege who had never given a thought to how the world is going to put up with all this unrelenting **ap. Even the Rs on the Hill are going to hit a point where they will evidence their limits by ginning up impeachment proceedings. Lord knows they have enough to work with, as in the connections with the Russians during the presidential campaign. And thats the ticket. The timing. During the Presidential campaign.

  19. “Will no one rid me of this troublesome talking head and his Zombie followers?”

as someone else said, on another blog, “Becket, always Becket!”

I have nothing against the Russian people (actually, they are, in part, my people), who also don’t seem, for the most part, to have anything against Americans. I do, however, dislike their skeezy government, starting with Putin. sadly, we now have our own skeezy government, starting with Trump. maybe the two of them can take their “bromance” and get a room, preferably on a desert isle, somewhere far out in the Pacific. then we and the Russians can go back to getting along.

Donnie, sweetie? We need to talk.

Y’see… no one likes you. They really don’t. They only hung around in the past because you had money. Now you have power, too, so there still sucking up to get some of that power or money. You know that, right? You know that they’d leave you flat if you didn’t have those two things, right? You’re not really handsome, or smart, or a good businessman, or a great lover. You know that, right?

Well, sweetie, you must know that because you keep shouting at the world “Love me! Love me!” But they don’t. They just love what they can get from you like money, or power, or notoriety. And you know, you must know, if they can’t get that from you they’ll turn on you and go with the guy who can give them that.

And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that you are just like them because you’ve turned away from others yourself many, many times in the past. You’ve surrounded yourself with wolves. But wolves can smell fear. And they’ll turn on you and take you down. You know that. You’ve done it. So will they.

  22. It didn’t work out so well for Cohn’s first boy, Joe McCarthy, who flamed out spectacularly. Nor for Cohn, who so deeply loathed his own gayness. It looks like another of Roy’s protégés will bite the dust soon.

Rick asked, “Does that make the bullies on the newly transformed federal government junior high school playground, tattle tales or finks?”

Rat finks. They are big, fat, dirty rat finks!
