Y’all, They Are Really Bad At Governing

July 12, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Republicans can’t govern worth diddle squat.  They control the House, the Senate, the Presidency, and pretty near the Supreme Court.  They still can’t get anything done.  Thank you, Sweet Jesus.

Their senatorially painful decision announced on Tuesday to sacrifice some of lawmakers’ usually sacrosanct August recess was a public confession that they have not gotten the job done even while controlling the White House, Senate and House of Representatives.

If they can’t get anything done in those two weeks, they really need to go back to the minors and let the big boys play.

On the other hand, I do imagine that not many of them want to go back home.  They are just gonna get hollered at.  Let’s face it, all of us have on our hollering shoes and our numbers grow everyday.

Ted Cruz told the news that nobody in Texas even mentioned the Russians during his last visit.  Well, when you limit your town halls to 75 people and have the Republicans line up real early, you’re likely not to hear much at all.  And, when you’re facing not being able to afford the medicine that’s keeping you alive, Russia ain’t on your mind at all.  Caring about Russia is the privileged outrage of people who can afford health insurance.

And then there’s this:

Mr. McConnell said the early August agenda would extend beyond health care, which Senate Republicans still hope to finish off next week. He ticked off a few other measures, including an always contentious debt limit increase, a usually bipartisan Pentagon policy bill and an important piece of legislation for the Food and Drug Administration.

Now what makes this guy think he can get all that done in two weeks when for the past 7 1/2 months, he’s gotten nothing done?  Is he planning on arming the senate and taking hostages?  If so, he could start with Mike Pence – that guy ain’t doing nothing.

Be social and share!

7.5 months? 7.5 months and eight years

  2. Mike Pence always seems to have an expression on his face like that of an empty Pez dispenser. No candy inside, nothing to do, day after day pushed farther and farther back on the shelf.

If he was a Pez dispenser, he looks like he’s in pain pushing candy out.

  4. Damn! Two weeks? After 8 years and 7-1/2 months of insanity? It would take a miracle to get anything together that looked or even smelled passable. I am betting even more Rethugs scorn whatever result they come up with.

Poor dears. They are one trick ponies. They learned how to be a do nothing legislature under Obama and they can’t seem to unlearn that trick.

Um, I don’t think they’re BAD at governing. I don’t believe incompetence is the issue at all. I think they just don’t give a flying [word I don’t dare use here – – – _I_ don’t want Momma to come wash my mouth out with soap!]
    But you get my drift.

The only thing these people do care about is keeping their jobs and all that lovely power. So it’s up to us to relieve them of same. Assuming, of course, that we still have the right to vote next year and in 2020.

Ms. JJ, I do believe you’ve hit upon the real reason that these reprobates are so hell-bent on taking health care away from as many people as possible.

“And, when you’re facing not being able to afford the medicine that’s keeping you alive, Russia ain’t on your mind at all.”

Neither is any of the rest of the systematic dismantling of the whole damned American government and social structure.

    Crude but effective.

According to Kaiser Foundation, Obamacare is improving and insurers are regaining profitability.

And wingnuts can’t govern. How many times do we need to see the same old car wreck before we permanently switch brands of cars to drive?

I know, we aren’t the problem. It is the brainwashed nutjob base that don’t care what if anything wingnuts do, they will still vote for them.
