Ya Think?

July 07, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, our national nightmare is over.  The whole Russia / Trump thing has been disproven.

Was it a pinky promise or did he swear on a stack of Bibles?

  1. yeah, yeah. And the check is in the mail. Honest. You can trust me. I’ll still respect you in the morning.

  2. WA Skeptic says:

Hey, Donnie; even the Russians have a saying about that: Trust, but verify.

And there wasn’t another auditor (or translator) besides the one supplied by Putin in the room.

  3. Too bad Trump doesn’t read. Even a few chapters of Dostoevsky or Tolstoy and he’d understand nothing in Russia is what it seems. The interwoven characters and plot lines are deeply convoluted.

Just the title of Crime and Punishment was probably enough to scare Donald away. How could you possibly create a narrative connecting those two words? It doesn’t make sense.

  4. Sooo, I predict that by the middle of next week, Donnie Douchebag will instruct Rod Rosenstein to end the investigation, using this as justification. Since Donnie’s accepted their assurances, it’s official! And since the Russians are officially cleared of election interference, there could be nothing for any Trump associates to have colluded on. Voila! Now simply redirect Mueller to Hillary’s emails or Obama’s birth certificate. If only someone can pry Mueller’s jaws open.

Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself, remember the gilded room in Hamburg to which you previously linked? Look closer at the table in the foreground. It sure looks like Donnie on his knees preparing for Vlad’s reception.

Earlier today the shipwreck known as Rexxon Valdez, aka Rexxon Drillerson was complaining the Messy failed to drag Donnie out the meeting with Putin. Really? Rex. Refund your paychecks and fly home on your own dime. TYIA, if you instruct your attorneys and accountants to pay your back taxes.

Seriously. To an extent we do expect corruption in politics to a degree. But even the earlier Robber Barons of old were not this in our face crazily greedy and corrupt.

  6. That Other Jean says:

Well, then. If Donnie says it’s OK, I guess it must be. Vlad had nothing to do with it, and Robert Mueller can go home now–said no sane US citizen since Trump fired James Comey and blabbed top secret information to Russian officials.

  7. When I was growing up, the Republicans were the anti-commie party that tended to call anyone else a pinko. And now they have a president who believes the Russian head of state over the unanimous finding of 17 US intelligence agencies. It’s as if they elected the Manchurian Candidate as President. I’m going back to bed. Wake me up when things are relatively normal again.

And then there’s this: I just saw a clip of the Trump/Putin handshake. And there was an element missing that I have come to expect whenever Trump extends his hand to a foreign official: there was no grab-and-yank-and-hold-for-so-long-that-it-becomes-uncomfortable.

Because he likes Putin — even respects him — far too much to manhandle him as he does everyone else.

Or maybe he’s just too scared to try it. Putin might, after all, stop with the effusive praise if Trump acts boorishly toward him — and Trump can’t have THAT.

  9. Old Fart says:

I am disgusted with our entire political structure.

Recently (somewhere) I read that political parties were one of the great fears for President Washington. Clearly he was correct.

Political partisanship has dragged our nation down, and it seems the persons tasked with guarding our government are fine with that. And by dragged down I mean controlled by another nation. In the name of partisanship, the winners of the POTUS 2016 election are willing to disregard intervention in our electoral process by a foreign nation.

It appears we have no depths yet reached by the loss of our international reputation and standing, or of uprightness for our POTUS, to cause alarm by the Republican Party.

    Clearly things shall get worse…

  10. Tilphousia says:

Never thought a so-called president would drag our wonderful country down with the full approval of the most corrupt political party in history. Yes, republicans, that’s you. From scheming, repulsive, evil, complete lack of morals McConnell and pathetic anti Christian Ryan to the lowlyist back bencher. The GOP has become the party of the anti-America, destroy America for greed, hate, bigotry. Those good ole boys have ran made a mockery of our democracy. Clean house. NOW!
